I just don’t think anybody want to see Graham right now. Looks like they’ve fixed some things on the defensive side of the ball since the loss to Union.
It’s not so much they fixed things as they are all healthy on the defensive side. Both LBs played with injuries against Union.
Graham's starters have only played half of the game for the last three weeks, not sure how any of them are banged up unless it happened in practice...and I highly doubt that Lester gets hit at practice.
Having said that, if Graham does lose, my pre-season prediction will be dead on...7-3. I was saying 7-3 when all you meatheads were saying they were going to run the table and repeat. For all I know, they still may repeat but I'll bet a dime to a dollar that they'll be 7-3 when the postseason starts. Graham hasn't beaten a decent team all season whereas Richlands has knocked off some really good teams this year...Radford may still be the best team in 2-C and Abingdon is no slouch...
Point being, Richlands should be favored in this game by 10 or so points...home field, tougher schedule, on a roll...won't be surprised if they turn it into a blowout.

Graham’s line performed well about as equal as Glenvar even though Glenvar was much bigger. Graham’s line should do good district play. Only draw back is it appears glenvar is lacking discipline. Multiple late hits should be corrected quickly. Graham appears to be a well gelled team.
When is Tazewell not going to be young? That’s all we heard last year too. The kids you keep referring to are hold backs most supposed to be juniors. 17 year olds aren’t “young”
Jar head that’s exactly what happened. It was a close heated game. #17 went out with a concussion and the QB was thrown and missed his first b-ball game because of the penalty. Those kids are gone now.
I’m so tired of hearing how Union is automatically going to win and the trash talk about Graham coaches and players. Coach Palmer has been head coach for 3 years - who else has brought a program that far that quickly. Sick of the bashing of the Graham kids hell I bet Graham has more 4.0 kids on the football team than anyone in the area. Graham kids are a good hard working bunch. Let’s stop the trash talk and let these teams play it out. I highly doubt Coach Palmer was boasting at a meeting if anything he is one of the most humble coaches I know. He would never say graham is going to go to the next round he takes it week by week no matter who they play. Saturday can’t get her quick enough no doubt to shut this negative speculation up!! I’m excited to see an evenly matched football game. Strength of schedule points scored points scored on Union and Graham match up better than anyone. This will be the most evenly matched game of the season other than Graham/Bluefield. We will all be on the edge of our seats. One thing to remember every one keeps saying close one with graham/Giles - it actually wasn’t. Early second half Allen got hurt, Reed hurt ended his season, Kastner hurt among others. Game changer with those out. This one will be a close one.
And it costs ~$11,000 to educate a child in Tazewell County per year. If we are allowing this solely for athletics that is piss poor leadership all the way around.
I refer to “true” sophomores because I get sick of hearing about how young Tazewell is - they are holding whole classes back now. So the Tazewell team may be underclassmen but not underclassmen aged. Richlands has always done it as well. There will always be reasons to start a kid late hold them back etc but for solely athletics is not a guarantee they will be a great athelete. Check your holdbacks from recent years in Tazewell County where are they now?
Well Ttown - Graham is losing 9 seniors just like last year. Yes Cooke is a hell of an athlete. His speed you only see every qtr century or so. However if you’ve watched any games you would see Lester is capable of as many big plays not as fast - yet only a true sophomore. Vineyard hell of a linebacker one of the best in the area - however the MLB Kastner - another true sophomore is one to watch as well my guess would be a close 2nd in tackles to Vineyard. Mason another outstanding player at linebacker and running the ball Reed comes back in. Allen only a junior and outstanding. Curto excellent kicker backup Dales - another true sophomore who is just as capable. The rest of the seniors play both sides of the line. Graham has some size coming up from 8th graders even. You are short changing Graham’s current young talent and upcoming talent. Not to mention look at what Palmer has done in 3 years - young men want to play for him. Go ahead take your 1-9 record facts are facts might want to check them again.
Curious as to what bad attitudes? Graham has come together more as a team this year. They really mesh well finally. They’ve been through some tough times with competitiveness within the team. Finally it’s not a one or two man show. These kids care about winning and playing as a team.
