I gotta hear more. On here or in a message, I just want to know because I have heard multiple things that I don't know if they have any substance.

All too many times on here, we view consolidation thru the eyes of the football team. Most of these counties would have excellent football teams if consolidation happened. Personally, Tazewell County could average 68 points a game on offense while giving up >6 points a game. But Tazewell county isn't going to consolidate anytime soon. In fact, current kindergarteners at any Tazewell County school, barring moving will stay attend the same town high school. Buchanan County is still fighting to avoid consolidation. Smyth county might but Marion wont be a part of it, same with Scott county and Gate City. Schools are too expensive and recent consolidations have scared counties from jumping the gun. I've gotten that info first hand. Consolidation sounds great on here, but sometimes its unfeasible. Tazewell and Graham could drop today and still be one of the largest 1A schools, and within the next 10 years, I say they will. But Richlands couldn't drop.

Riverheads was 1A for the longest time, barely had enough to bump to 2A. But they are dressing and traveling in the 70s, if not 80s with a smash-mouth brand of football. Sometimes it is just hard to explain.

Throw. The. Ball. Richlands cant cover as well but they can send pressure. If Creasy gets time, it will be dimes dropped everywhere. Games comes down to who is most focused for 24 minutes

Given the teams and programs in the area, how would you build your perfect program in your eyes? Most of us have created a school in EA Sports College Football or built a franchise in Madden. So take your slate of area teams and build what you would want in your programs. Use criteria like: Color scheme, location, coaching, players, community support, uniforms, offseason work, tradition, etc. Feel free to add more Current programs would be great, maybe add a historical program as well. Let see what you come up with.

What would you upgrade? It can still look great with a grass field. Needs a full track. Press box needs a makeover. Both stands need a facelift. Still a great high school football stadium.

I second that. It is going to cost money to fix it, why would you want to lose it? Id say beg TN High is best bet. Maybe E&H on a Thursday or Friday. Worked against Tazewell a few years back.
