Quick question, why are so many people invested in the hiring? I get it that you guys all support these teams when they advance but there just seems to a helluva a lot more people not associated with that program and have an opinion than those that are fans. I don’t see that in other places across the state and was wondering why?

Because we all have each other's backs when we're not playing each other.  We all have a vested interested in the situation, really.

I kind of feel like bad punts, false starts, and dropped passes are BIG things in a state semifinal. I’m still bumfuzzled why Tony Palmer didn’t just keep feeding the ball to Clements or run Floyd or Jennings more. Why the heck do you pass so much when your passing game is not very consistent in comparison to the  run game?

I wondered the same thing in 01 in Lynchburg against Harrisonburg.  I think Radford's defense was under-estimated after Glenvar.  Graham will be right in the mix again next season.  They should have a good mix of power-run with Jennings and a strong passing attack with most of that big line returning.  Defensively, they will be solid too.  I think G. Palmer will factor in more on the offensive side of the ball next season, both as a runner and a receiver.  Clements will be hard to replace, but Graham has some young guys coming back that will produce and there won't be that one guy to key on.  I'm excited to see how Caleb Fix comes along and I think they could utilize Blake Graham more on offense, other then the occasional deep ball thrown his way.

On to basketball!!  Let's all play for runner up to John Marshall!!

You obviously didn’t watch the game yesterday. Graham literally gift wrapped it for Radford. 2 horrible punts, a dropped pass that IMO changed the whole game.

But hey that’s how it goes sometimes. Can’t win them all.

The dropped pass was a big game changer for sure.  Radford was a very sound ball club on both sides of the ball.  I think I for one seriously underestimated their D-Line.  They were pretty stout

I think Graham could definitely beat Radford had they played better but 9 out of 10? I don't see that. I think we questioned Radford after their close wins over Appo and Glenvar. In reality beating Appo was a huge mental hurdle for them. For many years Crist has been on the receiving end of verbal beat downs on here. Instead of wanting our Frosty's from Wendy's we need some A1 sauce or BBQ sauce to put on our crow.😂 Granted he has a stellar QB but what team at this point in the season doesn't have an outstanding player or two?

I agree.  I think Radford was definitely better then Graham overall.  They didn't make mistakes and they were sound fundamentally.  Excellent tackling on defense.  Maybe Graham wins 4 out of 10.  That senior leadership is something that can't be undervalued .

I’m almost always a Region D guy, I’ve rooted for Graham to win the last couple years and always like to see titles come back to 2D, but I dunno I don’t want them to become this unbeatable juggernaut. I want the West to win regardless, I’ll put it that way. Whoever wins the West gets my full support in Salem. Either team v Riverheads would be so much fun, total style contrast v Radford or Clemens v CCC showdown.

Personally, I would like to see Poqouson knock off Riverheads.   Would like a little bit of  redemption against them for that win they got over Richlands on 2010. (I know, been a long time, but at my age, 13 years seems like yesterday).

Thanks! I wouldn't think they'd choose a location if parking was going to be an issue.

The parking lot is big, shouldn't be a problem at all.

here's a link to a pictures of the stadium and parking lot.  Just scroll down on mobile device, you may have to click on something on a laptop, not sure.  Only part of thr parking is shown, there is plenty more just a tad further back.

Graham against Radford needs to be power run heavy Clements Graham like the one at Union.

Against Riverheads, Graham needs to be in wide open sets and if you want Clements to run, then run him a lot but from wide formations. Graham needs to get the football in the air a whole lot if it's Riverheads. Force them to cover in the secondary and split them out.

Stopping the run of Riverheads for whoever they face will be a tall task.

Graham made incredible adjustments from game 1 to 2. This is why everyone was quiet. Knew it was going to be a dog fight between 2 very evenly matched teams.

Union could have come out in the 2nd half, gone up by 2 scores and forced Graham to play catch up, but blew it.

Bears couldn't stop Clements. Worst line play all year. Credit GMen for that.

I thought Union would matchup better with Radford, but I still think Graham wins.

    Glad Clements is graduating! Haha

Clements is graduating, but there's another Palmer and another Bradshaw on the way....  Look out for the freshman #22, Caleb Fix in the near future also, he is very fast too.  Future looks bright for both of these teams.   Looking forward to some more great battles.  As far as the performance by Clements tonight, all I can say is "wow".

I don't normally talk about teams unless I've seen them in person, but I've watched a lot of film on Radford and Appo. That's why I was confident that the Raiders wouldn't make it out of the region.

For Radford, I keep seeing the same thing over and over, regardless of the opponent. That has boosted my confidence in a Union/Radford matchup, if they're fortunate enough to get past Graham.

Glenvar definitely had a 2nd chance luxury that Graham/Union won't have.

That's also what worries me about tomorrow... Graham's 2nd chance at the Bears.

Yeah, you never know what to expect when Graham and Union play the past few years.  Both very good teams, both capable of beating each other.  I give the edge to Union because of the lineplay, but would not be surprised to see Graham come out with the "W" because of the big play capability with their athletes healthy.  They are a little banged up on the line, however.
