Not all on coaching but Rife bears some of the blame. Dotson basically ran a junk 3-2 on Trivvette and Rife refused to make adjustments. Never found a way to get her the ball consistently or in a position to attack and not be immediately doubled or tripled.  Fact that she still had almost 30 is a testament to how good she is. Wise put their best player(Mcamis) in positions to make plays and she did for herself and others as well she’s a great passer. Richlands did not do the same for trivvette as most of her buckets were like pulling teeth. Some of Richlands other players stepped up and hit some big time shots. Sad to see what happened at the end though as it looked like Richlands players were upset and even some crying about the altercation. Overall great uptempo game would’ve been even better with a shot clock(come on vhsl) lol

Gotta feel bad for the kids. Covid presents little to no danger to them at all basically but yet they're having some of the best times of their lives stripped from them. They have no control over the decisions Northam their school board and the vhsl are going to make but yet these decisions are going to effect them directly. ADs and athletic programs can slap together some fundraisers maybe get some donations and get some money back from missing a year of sports. Most if not all teachers and administrators are still going to have a job when things fully go back to normal. You don't get another chance if you're a senior who's trying to earn a scholarship to play ball and get school paid for. All it takes is one breakout game for a kid and that can be the difference between not going to college or going to college. One good season can be the difference between a kid going to school paid for or being in student debt for 5 years and once that window of opportunity is gone, it's gone. You don't get cancelled games or seasons back. You don't get to go back and have prom or homecoming or any other significant event you have in highschool. I know the bigger picture is health and safety for everyone and I completely understand that but you can't help but feel for the kids.

He's apart of the team loaded va aau program and has connections with those players. Some of those guys that played definitely don't live in inter-richmond limits. I don't know him personally and I don't know why he gets such a bad wrap(I'm not from the area and I'm younger so I don't hear a lot of the grown folk gossip lol) but I honestly feel bad for Tj and his son. Like the first couple times it was funny but now it's not even funny anymore. Been up double digits multiple times on GC this year and couldn't finish. As an athlete myself I know that's gotta hurt. Like I said I don't know him personally but as someone who understands competition I kind of feel bad for them.

Lets just say I had a closer to seat to the action than most people in this chat. 2017-2018 the year McClung was at his peak, I heard first hand with my own 2 ears as the players were going to the lockerroom McCamis look at one of his kids and tell them not to let McClung dunk again and to put him on the floor(take his legs out) before they let him dunk on them again. Once again I know a handful of Central players personally and have hungout with some of them off the floor and they're a cool people. I feel their coach is the reason for the way they play and if they had a coach that was actually concerned about making them better and trying to help each kid individually and then as a team they would be dangerous. Whenever Wise decides to take a serious look in the mirror and do away with that whole coaching staff then only then will they succeed.
