I think it's more of the bandwagon fans that aren't even from Appo that are the problem, on the forums at least. The ones I know that are actually from Appo and have supported them for years are nice folks.
In person, they were very nice in 2016 with both the game and the passing of our cheerleader's mother. Many reached out on Union related social media.
Yeah there are a fair amount that are pleasant. BoBob seems to be one.
I see a lot of the people on social media posting crazy stuff. They ruin it for the good ones.
Of course, I do live 20 minutes from Salem, who has a bad reputation.
I agree about their fans. Talked to some of them at Galax a few years ago and at Mac N Bob's a few years ago as well. All of them were very polite and friendly.

We have failed in our response to the virus because Democrats and Republicans are both playing politics.
I’m not arguing with anyone but I think schools can be open in most of SWVA for in person learning with measures in place to curtail the spread of COVID. Some counties have had very few cases. School is doable if people in charge are smart in their reopening guidelines.
Here in Craig County we have 9 reported cases since it started.
However, our proximity to Roanoke is worrisome if an outbreak occurs there. There are people who live in Craig and work in Roanoke and vice versa.
In my opinion, a hybrid model for school is necessary.
It doesn’t matter what decisions are made.
If we have school as normal, people will be angry.
Distance learning? People will be angry.
Hybrid model? People will be angry.
Sports will be the same way.

You missed WR Peele, Navy commit and though CJ is going to Coastal, he had ACC offers that he left on the table. Either way, my only real ‘argument’ is that the original assessment on the status of 757 youth sports (offered by sixcat) is a little dated...not entirely inaccurate.
As we’ve discussed relative to SWVA, talent is cyclical and yes, the 2020 757 class wasn’t loaded, but there are still lots of big time players in tidewater. We have seen a couple guys get pulled to IMG or other football factories, but for the sake of VA football, I hope that’s a quick trend...

I saw a very encouraging video on the Appomattox Football FB page. The Appomattox players were comforting heartbroken Graham players. That is sportsmanship.
It’s always the fans. If you notice, the guilty ones are adults in their 30s, 40s, and 50s.
The players have nothing to do with any of the crap you see among any fan base.

A year back I saw one guy say the refs were screwing them out of the game in a game Appo was winning in a blowout. 🤦♂️
I don’t have a problem with Appomattox. They have a great thing going on over there. But some of the people I see have no idea how football actually works.

The game is over. You all beat Union. By a large margin. Let it go. Is it unsportsmanlike for Union to use this train horn during a cadence? Absolutely. You all punished them on the field. You all got the last laugh. Are you the only person from Graham who is this insecure with a 48-7 victory?
The Union fans seem like they have handled their defeat in a classy manner. Most Graham fans here have have been gracious about it.
