Akers & his assistants read the board daily. One of the assistants wrote me on here directly asking me to fight him 1. At his job & 2. I’m front of school children.
Wise plays like TJ did in high school. He played very chippy and annoying to try to get opposition riled up to mess up their game. I don’t know how much he has coached players to take kids out so can’t say much about that.
Wise fans were allowed to hang a sign saying “Merry Christmas to everyone except GC”. That falls on the school administrators as much as TJ. With the history of these teams, why allow something that starts a riff between crowds (much like the diapers on sticks at GC) before the game starts?
If the schools truly want it to end, step in and make it clear that it needs to stop. Stop whining about each other on message boards.
Hey im an Appo fan and fully said Graham would stomp Goochland. Goochland goes undefeated often because they dont play tough teams not because they are good.
I wouldn’t say that. They have 2 state championships in football to my knowledge.
And they have made it deep in the playoffs the past few seasons. They have lost to better teams. Graham was simply better than Goochland, just like Appomattox was in 2016.

A lot of people here know very very well what constitutes a good team. Far SWVA has produced many of them in the past. Riverheads is playing one of them this afternoon. Riverheads beat that same good team last season.
It will most likely be safe to play the championship on Saturday, even if the possibility holds up.
Right now Sunday seems like the danger day, assuming it all holds up. Models are beginning to agree on the possibility. They’ll be more sure in a couple of days.
I live in Roanoke and they are still keeping a close eye on it. At the moment they THINK—based on models—that any snow will be late Saturday night and early Sunday morning into Monday. It will probably change a thousand times before then.
If it tracks the way the European model currently shows then it will be snowy.
Very good game. Graham has definitely improved on D. They were the better team and the outcome is about what I expected. Union had their chances to keep the score closer and blew them. Graham had their chances to turn this into a blowout and didn't capitalize.
Good luck Graham going forward. And for Pete's sake, someone beat Appomattox. Lol
If Graham and Appomattox win then I am driving from here in Roanoke to Appomattox and will be a Graham fan for a day.
