This will be close. Marion seems to be on a roll. Richlands wants to make it be known that they’re still here in spite of a 2-4 record. All 4 of those losses were nothing to hang their heads over.

Why do GC fans deserve a winning program? It seems to be a recurring theme.  How are GC fans different from any other school? I understand expect but not deserve.

If they make the playoffs and don't deserve to be there than they'll be one and done.
If they deserve to be there then they'll advance.

I don’t know whether Richlands will be 6-4, 5-5, or 4-6. I do know that some 5-5 teams can be extremely dangerous come playoff time. Refer to the 1989 Appalachia D1 State Championship Team. They went 5-5. Refer to Blacksburg last year. I am also thinking that Jonesville’s last season in 1988–right before they consolidated to form Lee High—that they went 5-5 in regular season and won the 1988 D1 State Championship. I believe they played that particular game at Bullitt Park. 
 
I am not saying that Richlands wins it all this year. But teams with those records are a little scary.

And I hate when people act as if Jones was solely responsible for PVs run in the late 80s-90s. It's not like PV had a juggernaut offense with two future NFL players and tons of All-State guys right? It was 100% defense, PV couldn't do anything on offense, it was all Barry Jones' defense. :/

Could it be GC is just that bad? I know a far fetched idea since GC is always on top of their high horse...
Sure play calling and such are important but you could bring any coach into some teams and they won't win... 
Classic GC though, it is not the kids its the coach. You all are starting a vicious cycle with that idea. 

With the growing economic problem in Southwest Virginia, would you be surprised to see a lot of school systems beginning to consolidate all schools into one? If they did, some schools would be 5A or higher. We know there could be some real messes regarding travel. In your opinion, what would be the biggest mess from an athletic standpoint?
 
Who are your top 5 teams all in their respective divisions across the state ONLY from 1A to 4A? For example, top 5 in 1A and so-forth.

Throughout this thread, I've kept wondering a few things...just gonna put 'em out there.
1-Out of the first 4 games, who exactly should GC have beaten?  Looking down the schedule, I don't see a team in those four who GC is better than. 
2-Out of the games left, how many of those should GC be the clear favorite in?  Out of the 6 games left, I only see one team who GC is clearly better than...and that is due in large part to injury.
3-The biggest question is this...with the level of talent currently at GC, I think GC's record is where it would be even if the coach was Nick Saban. 
It's clear to me that GC is just in a sour run when it comes to athletes.  In order to be successful, you have to have athletes and you have to have talent to coach up.  Without that, it doesn't matter who your coach is.  Just my 2 cents.

That is the textbook definition of contradiction lol. If you don't like their coach, you DO have something against them. 

There seems to be one fanbase per year that exposes itself for being knuckleheads.  Hurley was the program last year.  Gate City is on the verge of asking Hurley to hold its beer.
