You know there was a Town Manager who wanted to change the Bluefield VA seal to show East River Mt. in the background with a silhouette of a Mallard in the foreground so maybe they could be the East River Ducks.

No arguments there, it is just good to remember that these changes do also impact wives and kids. Wives know what they are buying into, the kids don't get a choice. That is where the longevity for Beamer and his assistants creates a different dynamic than you usually see in coaching changes.

I left Lee Co. in 1989, it is good to see nothing has changed. Thomas Walker is still between Rose Hill and Ewing, right. It is still one of the most beautiful areas in the country, so why care about what anyone else thinks.

Shorten the commercial breaks to 90 seconds between innings and pitching changes. That would go miles in speeding up the pace of the game. The pitch clock should apply to batters as well. If the batter is so obsessed with adjusting his gloves etc, call a strike against him.

If you are transferring to get seen by recruiters, senior year is not the time. The way the recruiting schedule is these days colleges are identifying prospects in 10th grade and zeroing in on 11th graders.
