Absolutely! Just holding out on all hope that a season happens.
-
Central might have something to say about that ....😉
-
And if memory serves me correctly, Palmer gave Clintwood an L in their final game, ever, in the playoffs, and they were in the Cumberland district at that time.

Just saw that on twitter.

Did Ridgeview rush for more than 4000 yards? Just curious. Adkins had 2800, who would have had the other 1200+ considering he had the vast majority of carries? Just wondering.
Central rushed for 4200 yards..... and that was spread over 5 backs. But Ridgeview's line was big and physical I agree.

I've only seen bits and pieces. Can't find the entire list.... frustrating lol
-
I said "one of".... no disagreement needed.
-
Johnson Centrals offensive line is one of the best I've seen in a long time.
-
-
I have said for years that kids don't need to start playing football until 6th grade.
-
I think you can actually "blind side" so to speak, if you actually lead with your hands and it's not a "pancake" block. I think the idea is to eliminate the helmet to helmet contact, and subsequently, the helmet to ground contact. Just my understanding of it.
-
I think, for Central, the key is just getting better at what they do. All the pieces are in place. They didn't decide to install the Wing T until late in the summer, and that took several weeks, even into the season, to learn the system and begin to gel. That why everything kinda came on late. Kinks had to be worked out on offense. Defensively, the right personnel combination wasn't fully in place until about week 5, but once that happened things started to click. I think, barring injuries, this team should hit the ground running next season and maybe even exceed expectations. Time will tell.
-
I have yet to witness one HS football season where ALL parents were happy and satisfied.... it's a delusion....
-
I think Gate City loses quite a few key players? I may be wrong though....
-
I'm not a fan of the rule either, but it is the rule. And the video shows it was clearly a blindside block. Hard to swallow getting penalized for being aggressive, yet it is the rule.
-
Same thing happened (not anyone on this board) by individuals from ridgeview community when central won the playoff game. Blaming the refs for the fog..... saying the game shouldn't have been played.... even going so far as inventing mulitple phantom TD's being called back, which never happened. Not a knock on all Ridgeview fans, but I found it strange to hear and see those comments about the fog. Correct me if I am wrong, but both teams played in the same fog?!?!?
-
Wise basically loses one lineman who made an impact. Technically they lose 3, but one of them didnt start until game 4 after the sophomore center got hurt, and another split time with a freshman who was just as good. The entire defense returns. All the offensive skill players return. Several freshmen who will be sophomores will compete for starting jobs.
Wise will be loaded.
-
Looks like Appo gets some credit for having a good defense.....
-
They don't pick coach of the year by any other method than who wins the district. It's rare, and I haven't seen it, to be otherwise. I always thought that was shady. What if you win district but your team underachieved? Or what if you don't win district but your team greatly overachieved? It's a silly method.
-
Defensive struggle that could go either way and could go into OT.
-
Not Facebook... Twitter 😂😂 that seems to be the catalyst
-
Well some people believe #fakenews everyday lol
