I might have to disagree with you on this one.

Bluefield's defense was legit. They fly to the football really well. The touchdown pass was all Zeke Vance because number 5 for Bluefield had the ball in his hands and Vance took it away. Besides that and the short field to start the game Bluefields defense gave us fits. The good thing is that we have played a pretty tough schedule the first 3 games. Good luck to Bluefield on the rest of the season.

The better team won hands down. No excuses. LB is the real deal. They have a great QB and RB. There defense is one of the better defenses i have seen since Poquoson. I would really like to see the team that beats them if they do get beat. Yes we were missing some key people. To answer the question nobody left the sidelines before the game was over. The only player that left the field was Zeke Vance and he was getting checked out by the EMT's for a injury suffered in the 2nd quarter.

The Quarterback and Running Back for Lord Botetourt are both very good. The RB put up some very good numbers last year. I've heard from a friend out that way that they don't throw the ball hardly at all. Hopefully Richlands comes to play and can get the ball rolling again. If we can clean up the passing game and step up our pass defense we have chance of being good. Look forward to making the trip out to Daleville this Friday.

I think with 2 Richlands coaches going to VHS they thought it should be on there.

I might have heard wrong but they went 1-3 in pool play to be seeded for the tournament then went on the run to make it to the championship game. Even in the championship game i was told they had a chance to win but the ball was overthrown to Ben Brown. This is coming from one of the varsity coaches. He did say that Ben Brown had a great day playing at receiver. Hopefully he can step up along with a few more and give us some players that can stretch the field to open up the running game for Staten. With the Offensive line returning 4 starters we should be able to run the ball really well this year. If you've not seen these lineman since last year it's probably the biggest line we've had at Richlands and could be one of the most athletic for there size.

I know this doesn't mean anything but it is nice when the NUMBER 1 High School Recruit in the country is wearing this today at the Nike Camp in D.C.

The time we lost to them we shouldn't have made it past Tazewell that year.

We were 2-1 against him. Not to bad of a record.

My Reds are going to be tough this year if they can keep the injury bug off there back.

Richlands should be up 6-10 in my opinion. Alley is Foul Trouble is going to hurt down the stretch.

Richlands is going to switch to Under Armour next year. I don't know about the camo but I do know they are switching over.

He dislocated his elbow. Talked to him when he got back from the hospital. He should be back within 3 to 4 weeks. It was nasty looking. Greenbriar West one the dual meet. Grundy just doesn't have anyone really once you get past 152. They finished 4th which isn't bad considering the teams that were there.

Smith and Street are locks to make it to the finals in my opinion. Street's only problem will be if the Paglia kid drops down to 138. The only thing for Grundy this year is besides the light weights they really don't have anyone over 138 that will go deep into the tournament in my opinion. The only one i think that could make a push is Pedigo at 145.

Should be interesting next year with Essex dropping down to 1-A. They weren't well coached but were very athletic. Goochland on the other hand was athletic and really well coached. I would say they were one of the most disciplined teams I've ever seen. The coaches do a really good job for them. I would like to send out a congratulations to George Wythe on winning the State Championship and also to Honaker on a very good season. It was a great game and I hate to see a team lose when both teams laid it all on the line. Next year should be interesting with the new realignment. Hopefully we can some West teams in both championships next year.

Actually Honaker won't have a size advantage this game. George Wythe is just as big as the Tigers. George Wythe is a tough matchup because they have the size to go along with speed. Honaker will have to control the clock this game and establish a ground game. If Honaker can run the football and set up playaction they will stay in the ball game. Just don't throw it to Lester's side because he had 4 or 5 batted balls against Clintwood.

I watched George Wythe play Clintwood and I watched Honaker yesterday. If i was predicting a score at the moment I would say George Wythe by atleast 2 TD's. George Wythe has size and speed. Hardy Lester will be the best player on the field and shuts down one of side of the field when he is on defense. I wish both teams well and the best of luck.

Honaker played very well and showed a lot of heart but in the 2nd half Honaker out coached Sussex. I sit on the Sussex side and I kept laughing at some of the things they were saying. I never understood why Sussex got away from the veer offense in the 2nd half. Congrats to Honaker on winning and good luck next week against George Wythe.

I wouldn't count on AJ being back Friday.

It would not shock me at all if we were to get upset Friday. After watching some film on the Falcons they have some people that could give us problems. They have 2 good WR's and a RB that runs hard. They do have the best kicker in AA. Out of the two films i watched every kickoff but 1 went 5 to 10 yards out of the back of the end zone. It is going to be a really tough game with the QB situation and the players that were suspended last game. It matters how Richlands comes out and sets the tempo early. I will say Richlands will win 34 to 20.

Don't worry before long you won't be able to talk at a football game. I mean I could understand if the guy actually had a whistle and blowed it. I mean the guy technically didn't break a rule because he wasnt' using any artificial noise maker.

The thing i like about this schedule is you don't have 4 road games out of the first 5 games played. There is going to be some good competition on the schedule for the division we will be playing in next year. I'm glad to see Bluefield back on the schedule.

Ryan i'd take back the comments about the East Tn schools. They are in the works on getting a couple games against some of those schools. Richlands schedule next could shape up to be interesting.

They need to bring Ricky Bustle back.
