All that tweet says is that he was escorted off the field. Doesn't say out of the stadium or anything like that. He walked off the field with a few of Richlands' finest and stood in the back of the endzone watching the rest of the game with them laughing and talking to them. People read WAY too much into that tweet.
You take the principal hat off for a second when your son is attacked in the back while walking back to the sideline. 

This one’s a challenge.  Probably 13-14 teams for whom you could make a serious argument.

One of my closest friends is the head baseball coach at Charlottesville High School.  He was hired after the 2018 season, when Charlottesville went 0-20.  The 2019 3A state champion was Fluvanna County.
 
Charlottesville played Fluvanna County last night, and beat them 8-5.  7 of Charlottesville’s starters are underclassmen.  I know it’s not SWVA related, but I wanted to brag on a friend and show just how quickly fortunes can turn when good coaching meets community buy-in.

My second born son was just named to the varsity soccer team at Liberty-Bedford.  Pretty sure he is the only freshman that was taken.  They had good numbers at tryouts and it's a very deep pool in terms of talent.
All three of my boys are pretty gifted physically.  But #2 is the best athlete among them by far.  He also wrestles (won three event medals in his first year) and played pretty much every down on the JV football team this spring season.
Kid has also suffered mightily this past year due to the various shutdowns.  So this good news is certainly welcome and I just can't help but crow about it.

A lot has been said on my statement about the Radford game, and I agree that every game counts for the players and the coaches and fans.  The point is that it doesn't change the outcome of the playoff picture.  I agree that it sucks, but the truth is everyone was told that the first Graham and Richlands game would not count in the playoff picture.  Someone quoted Tony Dungy in saying, "you play every game to win", and I agree, but he also stated, "it's very hard to beat the same team twice in one season".  Had Graham played an improved Richlands again, would the outcome be different?, we'll never know, but to change the rules at the end of the season is truly wrong, but yet in line with this whole year.
As a true blue Richlands fan, I would love to have seen the G-men vs Blues game, but it's not meant to be, so we all need to move on.  It's not fair, but life itself is not fair all the time.  I've pulled for Graham in their state games, I've pulled for Tazewell in their state games, and I will pull for the SWD in all playoff games.  Hard pill to swallow sometimes, but SWD fans adapt, overcome, and move on by cheering for each other.  Like family, we can beat on our brothers, but anyone else best not lay a hand on them.  The fact is, I think both Graham and Tazewell deserve to be in the playoffs, and you bet your britches, I am a True Blue fan, but I will cheer for the G-men and the Bulldogs, and hope that one of them bring the hardware back to the SWD.

It blows my mind how anyone can believe that his acumen is on a level that's acceptable of being the head of this country for the next 4 years. No one is voting FOR Joe Biden, they're voting for the Democratic Party. That's fine, just admit it and don't act like anything Biden says is what he actually believes or is capable of doing. 
Want to know how I know what im saying is accurate? Look at how defensive he gets when hes challenged and has to think of a response quickly, he attacks and comes across as arrogant, which ive honestly believed he was. Now its obvious that those instances of him lashing out are early signs of Alzheimers or dementia. If the DP wanted Kamala as their candidate then they should have ran her, Theres no way Biden makes it through a full term, just look at how much hes slipped in the past few years

True, but I refuse to just throw away my vote on someone who has no chance to win. 

For the first time in my life, I am eligible for that office.  I will most likely vote for myself.

It's as if Trump and Biden were competing to see who could do the absolute worst in a debate setting.  Trump's strategy should have been to let Biden ramble on and allow his obvious fatigue and ever-increasing mental incompetency to show.  Biden's strategy should have been to remain cool and collected; say as little as possible; and bait Trump with the softballs Matthews was giving him.  What happened instead was a disgraceful, disgusting display by two men who are unfit for the Presidency.

You get your chance to change that on November 3, 2020.  Needless to say, the stakes just ratcheted up exponentially.
 
Such is the political climate upon the passing of Ruth Bader Ginsburg.  Quite a mixed legacy, and in better times, we could remember her for simply her legacy.  Society won’t allow that anymore, and it’s not for the best.

Oh I follow that advice closely. We are certainly not rich. And I could probably do more to make some more money on the side. But I’d rather spend my time with family and friends. Memories mean more than money. 

That’s not exactly what he said.  He spoke of connections and respect.  But to that point, Musselman put Cody Martin (F) in the NBA, and Beard put Zhaire Smith (SG) and Jarrett Culver (SG) in the NBA.  
 
Musselman has a bunch of NBA connections from the 2000s, and Beard is indeed well respected there.

Congratulations, Rick!!  It is so awesome that we have such an amazing source for high school sport history right here on this forum!!!  I am very thankful and grateful that you are here and share your knowledge with all of us.  Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine that this little forum covering sports in southwest Virginia and southern West Virginia would have such an outstanding gentleman in it's presence.

Badly miss the NCAAT, and feel terribly for the athletes and schools who were robbed of their chances to compete.  I also miss spring NCAA sports; the baseball NCAAT is a blast to watch and follow, and there are some zany upsets that come out of there, too.  
 
As for professional sports, I don’t really pay attention to the NBA/MLB until playoff time.  Seasons are needlessly long.

This. It sucks. Badly. But we CANNOT screw this up. One slip and we go back to square one. We have to take this seriously.
