Bland Rockets and they wore maroon and gold. Rocky Gap Eagles and they wore green and white. Also when Northwood was formed we students got to vote on school colors and the winner was blue and gold but some people from Saltville raised a little stink and it got changed.

Well I was just informed by a reliable source that Billy did in fact resign on Monday. I hate it for Billy he's a great guy he just had the wrong cast of support staff around him. He sure as heck knows how to run an offense and is so good to the boys that play. But I think his downfall was the parents and he tried to please all of them and you know that you can't do that. I wish him nothing but the best.

I'm not so sure he is done at NW. I have talked to a couple of the parents that I was in the booster club with last year and they have heard nothing. Lord, stories of Billy resigning have been flying around for 2 years and it never happens. I do know that he wanted the AD job at NW but they gave it to the AP and that was a sore subject with him.

Did I miss something? When did the NW job become open?

Yes it is hard to win in Saltville but he has lost all control of the program and a HC can't do that. This is not hear say this is what was told to me by Billy this past year as my son played for him. And I quote Billy as saying "Mr. Hall I don't know what to do any more I don't have the support of my staff like I should and I don't know what to do, if I don't play certain kids then I will hear it from their parents so I'm in a no win situation. Billy stuck around hoping he was going to get the AD job at Northwood but that went to Stacy Poston. Billy is a great guy he was my 7th and 8th grade coach at Rich Valley but he has no control of the program in Saltville anymore thus that's why my boy will be playing ball at George Wythe next year.

Billy has all but killed the chance of that school having a program. I mean I like him but when you let the parents run your program you are asking for trouble and that's what he has in Saltville right now(trouble).

I have no dogs in this fight but from what I've seen and heard PH has the same problem as Northwood, which is that the parents want to run the program.

I have to agree that Whitewoods old cracker box was the toughest I played in. That was just a crazy atmosphere to be in.

It is Jacob and I was just curious have heard some stories that he only has a 2.0 GPA.

With signing day over I was just wondering if that Wolford kid from Marion went anywhere? They made such a big deal about him but I never heard if he signed a LOI to any college.

Moved back to Va in August, getting a divorce so I needed a little space between me and the ex for now.

Forgot about the famous Hotchee Dog from the Hamilton in Carlisle Pa, I could eat a dozen of them everyday.

I love potted meat either on bread or right out of the can. I could eat brussel sprouts everyday I go to Burger King for my burgers but have to stop at Wendys to get my fries. Oysters on the half shell or fried but not oyster stew. I can eat Chef Boyardee cold right out the can. My pancakes can't have any butter on them or I won't eat them.

Pennsylvania does that with all 4 levels @ Hershey Park Stadium.

The reason they almost didn't have a team is because of him. My son plays for him and I like Billy, but he has lost all control of that program. I agree about COY for each division, what's next POY and all district teams for each as well.

Was told by a Head Coach in the Hogo that Compton is leaving for N.C. not sure why or what for. Don't know how much stock to put into this info but it did come from a Head Coach.
