I believe issues in Richlands can be attributed to new culture of kids coming up in today’s world. We are phasing out the old ways of doing things…discipline, manners, morals, respect and plain out “want to” and grit. It’s going to take a strong minded individual to raise standards in practice and on the field if they aren’t getting it in the classroom or at home. It’s a two edged sword and very sad. Talent is there but you have to have someone who isn’t a yes man anymore. Tazewell county is well known for having the “uppity ups” and what have you run things in sports in general. It ain’t gonna stop until someone stops it. Just my thoughts, as little and as meaningless as they are. Enjoy the board , enjoy reading everyday.
Would love to see someone outside the SWD get the chance, but in all reality, Tazewell County School Board has some members who have sons coming up in the program and will more than likely be influenced by this factor in their decision making. As I understand it, The Supervisor of Secondary Education wants his son to be QB, wheather or not he has talent
, and I don't know that he doesn't, but this will be a picking point this supervisor will discuss with whoever applies. So it comes back to the good old boys club and the politics of the county. Just saying, my crusty old opinion, take it for what it is. It's not about school pride, school spirit or fan base, it's all about ME & MINE!!
School/school board is happy with the coaches they have or they would have made changes. You have to have a yes man in the rotation…that’s TAZEWELL county…just saying
I didn’t know Coach Harris was the QB. I could’ve sworn it was Carter Creasy. I guess that also explains why Ethan Mills was the leading receiver by yardage against Bluefield.
Clown post, bro.
ouch....mark it down, he will have it by games end. All the kids do great and play hard not to discredit them. Just saying, dad calls the plays...records to be broken...happened last year.
Cassius Harris is 29 receptions away from the VHSL single-season record. This game singularly determines whether or not he’ll have a golden opportunity to get there. Pretty much a “win-and-in” situation for Tazewell.
Head coach will run 30 pass plays to his side to make sure he gets it. I said what I said
I just don't understand why I haven't heard of this kid being highly recruited. He seems to me like a freakish athlete. Great length, great hands, great burst and stride. Heck of a player
