Thanks for all the prayers for Derrick , he was transported to UT medical center Monday and moved from ICU to a regular hospital room Wednesday night. He is getting better each day but has a long way to go. Just continue to remember him in your prayers if you can thanks to all that have. With God all things are possible.

I know this is the football forum but since most people are on hear during football I thought I would post it here. Derrick Murphy who played baseball for honaker and was one of the starting pitchers on honakers 2011 state championship team and a senior on Union Colleges baseball team is very sick and in Bristol hospital needing a lot of prayers. Some parents need to learn they are 5-7 years old and playing a GAME. This isn't the NFL. It isn't college or high school ball. He is supposed to be out there having fun and that's ALL that matters at this stage. Someone should punch that guy in the throat. 

My wife has a good friend whose son is playing peewee football for the first time.  Their team isn't bad but they hadn't won a game so far this season. 
 
We went to one of his games.  They played great. They had a really good running game and a stout little defense.  They scored three times and converted on all PATs and won the game 24-14!  Their first win of the season! 
 
All the kids were extremely happy and excited after winning the game and came running off the field all smiles and excited.  As the kids were coming around the fence to go find their parents, one kid, I'll call him #6 came running up to his dad beaming with excitement.  #6 had just played a great game, scoring a TD and a PAT plus making a ton of tackles on the outside.
 
Anyway #6 comes running up to his dad and says "dad, since we played so good and won, can "Johnny" come with us to eat?", as he was referring to his teammate who was with him.
 
First words out of his dad's mouth, "Well you didn't play that good.  You missed several tackles and let that one kid score a TD on you."
 
Needless to say, this little kid went from sky high to rock bottom in a matter of moments.  You could see tears in his eyes after his dad had just deflated his spirit.
 
I was shocked. I felt like punching that dickhead right in the neck for how he treated his son at that
moment.  Makes you wonder just how bad that kid has it when he does screw up.
 
Anyway, as I walked by the kid heading toward the car, I patted him on the shoulder pads and said "you played good #6", he looked at me with a half-hearted smile and said "thanks"....

I know they took two sets up last friday for the bluefild game, and I beleave they are sending up six total sets friday morning.

I dont think he was throwing the coach under the bus with what was said. maybe u should have listen to some of the coachs commits on the radio after the game. If I am rembering right I beleave the coach said the team played not to lose, instead of playing to win after they got a 3 td lead and I might be wrong but arent the coach or coachs part of the team.

I disagree about it being an insult for sitting on the other side seating during a game. I have sat manys times on the other teams side and watched a game. The difference is when you sit there is not to act like a idiot and have some respect. The only time i have ever had anything said was at grundy when a 10 year old told me to get my a$$ back on the other side. I acted like i didnt hear it and nothing else was said.

In general about the being picked on junk why is this kind of junk going on any more. All it causes is a big mess like we have all saw happen around the country. I know it still happens in a lot of places but it should be stoped. The coaches at all schools should set the players down before any preseason stuff starts and put a stop to any thing before it gets started.
