BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted August 23, 2011 Been reading Facebook reports about a 5.9 quake near Charlottesville. Friends in Richlands, Richmond, and Raleigh have made comments about it. GMan 3,569 Report Share Posted August 23, 2011 Felt nothing between Tazewell and Richlands and our office shakes when big trucks go by on 460. Wife felt it in Bluefield. She called me at 1:55 (according to my computer clock) and was like "Did you feel it? Did you just feel that earthquake?" RichlandsAlum 678 Report Share Posted August 23, 2011 My experience in Bedford was very similar to the 2003 quake (whose epicenter was in nearly the same place), so I wasn't too freaked out by it.
