An incredible game, a tough loss for Union, they will win their share of games this year. If you're on Union's schedule this year... be ready for a tough opponent. wvuraiders 10 Report Share Posted September 3, 2011 Princeton 35 Bluefield 21 FINAL predicted this last fri night/sat morning sometime...bluefield not that good princeton played good woodrow team...graham was weak up front on both lines...bluefield will not see a team that weak up front all year....princeton always has talent but something always keeps them back this is not a upset this year princeton far better team... Still have Gate City, two Charlotte teams, James Monroe, Wayne, and Greenbrier East next week will have a huge line for Bluefield to contend with once again. Someone said on here earlier that the game was really one-sided with the refs and 3 TD's were called back on VHS, but it was only 2 TD's and I don't think the Trojans really needed any help the way they were playing, especially after halftime. Trojan defense owned the game and their offense sputtered the first half, but completely turned it around after halftime. #3 for VHS took a beating, but he's a tough athlete and just kept going. VHS's young O-line really hurt them, especially in the second half. VHS could only get a couple of field goals while Battle got their momentum going and scored some TD's along with one safety. Still have Gate City, two Charlotte teams, James Monroe, Wayne, and Greenbrier East next week will have a huge line for Bluefield to contend with once again. You may very well be right. We could easily be 1-5 going into our 2 bye weeks. The last 3 games I dont see much of a problem. 4-5 no playoffs. We find a way to beat Greenbrier east or Gate city we will slip in with 5-4. Great atmosphere at the game also ! Congrats to the blues on a hard fought win, but we need to take a little better care of the football.
