GMan 3,569 Report Share Posted November 18, 2011 Three thoughts, and only three thoughts, because if I say what I feel like saying, I will be permabanned. These will be my only comments. 1. I've seen enough games to know when something's not right, and this game was obviously altered in the favor of VT. PI calls on balls literally 15 yards away. Obvious fumbles not reviewed. Phantom holds. Offensive PI when the WR was everything short of sodomized. 2. The ESPN telecast was unwatchable. Since this is a PG-13 site, I cannot tell you the scores of pornographic imagery that apply to the level of bias in favor of Virginia Tech. The Bachelor was praising Logan Thomas for AUDIBLING, the 1st and only time in the game he did (in the 3rd quarter). QBs learn to do that in high school, but Logan Thomas is surely the greatest quarterback in history for making a read that Mike Rocco makes 10-15 times per game. 3. If VT plays like this in 9 days, not only will the streak end, but it will end by double-digits. I would say that I hope we can beat FSU, but knowing the ACC and its officiating mandates, the zebras will not allow us to win. It would interfere with what the ACC deems an appropriate championship game. #1- You sound like the UNCrybaby that sat in our area at the game... #2- Thomas audibled way more than once. Matter of fact, he audibled more than he ran the called play. #3- How bad did UVA beat UNC??? Oh yeh, nevermind...

It would interfere with what the ACC deems an appropriate championship game. Wow, you win no respect with that post.. 1. ACC officials are bad, we know this, but it went both ways. And this wasn't the difference in the game. 2. ESPN's Thursday night telecast crew is terrible, we know this. But, again, this wasn't the difference in the game. 3. If we played GT like we played Duke we would've lost by double-digits too. UVA might not even get double-digits. 4. No way UVA beats FSU. I'm not even sure VT could handle them right now.. GMan and dueces did an adequate job at answering points #1-3... but your last paragraph might arguably be the craziest thing you've ever said on the board. Because I refuse to believe that you'd believe something that crazy, I hope it is a direct result of a salty UVA fan seeing their rival win and, in all likelihood, your own shot at an ACC title dashed. Hopefully you had a good night's rest and wake up in better spirits...

vthokies4life 10 Report Share Posted November 18, 2011 Congrats on another 10 win season. Thanks! We couldn't have done it without the overwhelming bias from ESPN, John Swofford, ACC officials, and everyone else that can apparently decide the outcome of a game... other than the actual players. Lunker Bass 27 Report Share Posted November 18, 2011 Is there anyway WVU plays VT in the Orange Bowl? VT vs. Cincy or Rutgers, Not too sexy. Whoever it is VT will probably get to beat up on another unranked team. As pitiful as Tennessee is, they beat Cincy by 20. Thoughts?

sixcat 2,919 Report Share Posted November 18, 2011 I am a Tarheel through and through who is married to a Hokie alum and former Marching Virginian. I was in the stadium last night for the game. It was poorly officiated to say the least but what ACC game and/or Ron Cherry officiated game is not? It went both ways and had no bearing in the final outcome of the game. GMan and Mrs. GMan are excellent people, would sit with them again if another opportunity were ever available. And even the whiny UNC fan that was near us was an alright guy between quarters. Great, great time despite the ugly game.

Too bad about all the UNC fans in our section last night...not sure what the regular season ticket holders were thinking, I guess it was all about the $$$ to them and not about whether it was a VT fan or a UNC fan in their seats. Guest The Variable Report Share Posted November 18, 2011 Nope, you're wrong...he REALLY believes that... Maybe. It might have been that he was in a bad mood or having a bad game. That game seemed to really hit him the wrong way judging by his chatbox comments. I watched one or two plays as I figured it would be more fulfilling to see Tebow start a game. Given his tightrope job security and the amount of times they air Denver games around here, it may have been my only chance. I mean yall were playing UNC, big whoop. Congrats on your win, Tech. bhs7695 185 Report Share Posted November 18, 2011 Just bought tickets from my cousin. Section 8, Row AA. paid $100 for the pair, so I think I came out pretty decent. Just hope I can make it there for kickoff lol I think we may know the same person you got those seats from if the seat numbers are the same ones I'm thinking of. Even numbered seats?
