I can't even remember the last time Central came to Battle for a scrimmage (if they've ever came to Battle...somehow, they keep getting the good end of this deal). It really kind of ticks me off because I can't even remember if Central has ever come to Battle for one of our scrimmages. We keep having to play on their crappy field. Imo its really better to schrimmage away rather than home(granted I was never a part of a home schrimmage), I think it makes it easier for the team to focus. It also helps with getting ready for road games I guess you're right. Never thought about it like that before. I believe they've redone their field since then, but I remember my senior year when we scrimmaged them at their place and they had those really deep drains going down the center of the field every so many yards.
