Don't know about you folks, but...

...I woke up this morning sick. Not the sick you feel after having too much of something not good for you, not the sick you feel when the other teams wins the big game that you were so emotionally invested in.

I felt the kind of sick that I woke up with when I realized my dad wasn't leaving the hospital. I felt the kind of sick I felt when I realized my kids were going to be raised in two separate homes and there was nothing I could do about it.

That kind of not-going-away-anytime-soon sick.

Yesterday we were facing a looming economic collapse, and we were facing the possibility of a supreme court with as many as four new justices being chosen by a socialist. We were facing a government-run healthcare system operated by disinterested bureaucrats where everything is half as efficient, half as effective, takes twice as long and at twice the cost.

We were looking at the thought of the greatest military force in history being muzzled. We were looking at coal being all but outlawed, and anything that is purchased with energy cost factored as a part of its value – which is everything, everywhere - continuing to cost more and more.

We faced the possibility of the folks riding the wagon outnumbering those of us pulling the wagon.

And we voted based on vaginas, race, greed, envy and the winner's appearance. We voted for a man whose only success has been in running for office. We voted for a man with no credentials.

Shit, we voted for a homecoming king, not a president.

Collectively we are a nation of fools, and we will be led by one.

'Sick' may not be the right word. Cold, hard fear may be closer to what I feel. Because I believe we just passed the point of no return.

Someone must be toying with you Obama won not Romney. Now all the the poor people wont be taken out back and shot and the middle class might have a chance of getting rich and not taken out back and shot.

Keep believing what they're feeding you, brother.

Thanks for making his point for him. I know you weren't trying to, but you did. And again, thanks.

If one thing is for certain, you guys can turn in your guns, hand over your Bibles, and punch a black dude because the world is going to hell now.

Remember in his first term when he tried to strangle all the orthodox Jew children?

I do.

To me the irony is that 48+% of the voters feel that way and 50+% feel exactly the opposite. The truth is nothing really changes because of that whole "Balance of Power" thing in the Constitution. The make up of Congress is no different.

I am just hoping we can rediscover working together once again to find common ground to solve our problems. If not it will continue to be one side talking about how evil the other side is while we circle the bowl.

BTW I voted Libertarian, so don't try to read any Red/Blue junk into the message.

I do remember in his first term a record unemployment rate and 48 million on food stamps. What a great job he has done.

Me too! What a shame!

In 2007 and 2008 our economy was peaking. And look what he did. All by himself.

Just like a black guy, amirite?

Stop it. Why are you stuck on this racial bs? I don't care about the color of his skin. If he can swallow his pride and work across the isle to create jobs in this country I'm all for it. But the status quo is not working. It has nothing to do with race.

I know right!

Look at all the attempts the conservatives have made to narrow the divide! Like everyday they're out there compromising for the middle ground!! This president will GET US ALL KILLED AND TAKE ALL OUR GUNS AWAY AND GIVE THEM TO CHINA!

I would move to Canada but they have free health care too so I'm going to move to Cuba instead, oh wait, not Europe, crap... China! I"LL MOVE TO CHINA AND GET MY GUNS BACK!

Sorry, I'm paraphrasing things off Facebook at the moment.

If you think you're being witty or funny, you're not.

What you're being is disrespectful and childish.

This isn't a football game, chief.

I implore you, stick to the crux of the argument. What has Obama's record shown that suggests even marginally that he is capable of providing stability to the economy.* We all would like to know this.

*I state this as a statement, not a question, on purpose.

C'mon UVAO, I'm on your side Chief. We're on the same soap box, scoot over! THIS AIN'T NO GAME! THIS IS REAL LIFE! Last night it occurred to me that this is not the change we need! We need a wealthy guy in charge who knows how to spend money and run a business. Not some guy named HUSSEIN who likes JAY-Z! You said so yourself! AND I'M WITH YOU NOW.

Jerbs. Guns. Amen.

The old me wouldn't agree with you on the economy! He would say it's a slow process, things got worse before they got better and now things are trending up and we should stay the course, however slow it may be, to see his plans through. To rectify the faults of the administration before. But the new me says FUUUUG THAT! I want change YESTERDAY! If we aren't creating a million jobs a day, there's something wrong with us. Fundamentally. As a nation.

Amen. Jerbs.

He IS bi-racial...one half caucasian and the other half african american. The pigment of his skin happens to be darker because of it. I've been a Herman Cain listener for years...he IS black...plus, I agree with Cain on his politics. The race card is getting old...when ppl disagree solely because of their liberal leanings and use it to blunt a conversation.

My best friend when I first moved to GA was truly black...originally from Harlem...would do anything for you... intelligent, caring, a first rate person that I admired much. Stop with the black man stuff...it totally demeans your position on his policies when you play the race card.

BinBama...forgot to pull the quote for Deuce

I said it a year ago, to some pretty harsh critique from those on the left, that a "Herman Cain-Marco Rubio" ticket would've made the left crap itself, because it wholly takes race baiting away from the Democrats. There's a good chance that if Cain weren't a batterer, that he'd have won the 2012 nomination. And I would've cackled all the way to the bank to watch the non-FOX media try to deconstruct Cain without coming off as bigoted.

I think this is a nice place to add that my middle name is in tribute to a black gentleman that my grandmother called "the smartest person I've ever met".

Unrelated to the thread as a whole, but just a gem I think I thought I'd throw into this portion of the discussion.

Even with Canada's free/socialized health care system, they still rank #6 on the Heritage Foundation's Index of Economic Freedom. Four spots higher than the United States (who is ranked #10).

Carry on.

Just a little info Cuba is not in Europe. I was in Cuba for 2 and half years, when I was there we took care of 69,000 wonderful people running for their lives. We live in the best country in the world period. If you dont like Obama then just wait 4 years, I waited 8 years to get rid of W. Bush who by the way was the least intelligent leader our country has ever had. Oh and another peace of advice be careful what you say about the president who ever it is just ask Ted Nuggent the secret service dont play. I can understand you being upset, that is another great thing about America we have freedom of speech.

You will not get an intelligent, factual response. I've been waiting on a response from the liberals on here about Benghazi for weeks. All they can say is, "Romney lied about Jeep moving production to China."

I too woke up with a bit of dread this morning. One thing is for sure, the blame someone else gig should be up. I am sure the ones who elected him will stay blame "W" no matter what.

Let's see where gas prices, employment, food prices, and the deficit are after another four years of his policies. I know other than the blame game we'll here the republicans won't let us get anything done.

I would for once like to see him stand on his own two feet and say the buck stops here....after eight years there will be no excuses. Lastly, the biggest harm/good he can do it replace Supreme Court Justices during this four years.

Were in for a mountain of disbelief during these new four years! God help us!

I would not be surprised to see gas prices of $5 next year and upwards of $7 over the next 4 years. I hope I'm wrong, now go prove me wrong Barry...I dare ya :)
