goose111874 967 Report Share Posted October 23, 2016 Anyone seen Letcher this season, last years team had a good offense but no D. Does anyone know if their QB returned from last season.
West12aaa 99 Report Share Posted October 23, 2016 Should be a shootout like last year, they are about the same. Beat central by

Union_Fan 2,155 Report Share Posted October 23, 2016 #10 was their QB against Central. He's listed as a sophomore, so I would assume he is new. He did pass for 251 yards and 4 TDs against the Warriors. I think they lost their QB, WR, RB, and a couple of linemen from last year's team. Beyond that, I don't know. They have lost and won the same games they did in 2015. Our crowd caused a lot of problems for them last year at their field. I think they're going to be shell-shocked when they come to The Park. If Union plays up to their ability they should win by several TDs Union 49 Letcher
goose111874 967 Author Report Share Posted October 23, 2016 I'm just glad the game is in Va. I'm sure everyone's team on this site knows all about the Kentucky officiating. Is letcher the team we are replacing Abingdon with, I know were trading Eastside with thomas walker. BigWinners
Unionguy_2017 288 Report Share Posted October 23, 2016 May be completely wrong and over dramatic, but seeing as how bad our crowd bothered them last year, they have no idea what they are coming into. If union shows up and plays well, we shouldn't have any problems. Union-48 Letcher-

I know that we have a hard time filling out a schedule, but I really don't want to play Thomas Walker. It doesn't help anybody.
Vol Hater 276 Report Share Posted October 23, 2016 We where going to replace east side with Abington then davy Crockett dropped us so that's where Thomas walker comes in no one had room on their schedule is What I was told by the a.d. So pretty much we drop Eastside and Crockett and have picked up Abingdon and Walker. Can't believe were playing T. Walker again, might as well play Rye Cove, I was hopping we would try to pick up Honaker or Lebanon or even Va. High
Leatherhead Larry 530 Report Share Posted October 23, 2016 Va High doesn't want anything to do with Mountain District teams I believe. Va High dropped us for the next cycle. But playing Thomas Walker is pretty weak. I don't buy that there were nobody else.

North had to pick us back up because they couldn't find a 10th. We tried Graham, Tazewell, Honaker, Haysi, Abingdon, some of the Sullivan schools, and I was told others, but couldn't get a game. Ended up with Marion and Middlesboro, and then both of them dropped us after the 13-14 cycle. I think Middlesboro may have been mutual. No love loss there. I have no idea who all was contacted for the 17-18 cycle. I heard that Va High dropped GC. You got Daniel Boone though didn't you?

And playing TW I don't get it either but I guess were running out of teams in our area with consolidation.
Leatherhead Larry 530 Report Share Posted October 23, 2016 Yes GC picked up Daniel Boone and Marion. We dropped Bluefield. Union_Fan
Jason 299 Report Share Posted October 24, 2016 Daniel Boone may be brutal. Didn't we have them added for the last cycle and somehow fell through?

1inStripes 932 Report Share Posted October 24, 2016 Scheduling is tougher than most people think. I will say though Middlesboro seems to have fallen off the map the last couple of years so its probably not a bad thing for Union they they arent playing. They are 1-8 this year and I dont think they won but maybe 2-3 games last year. jarhead24219 and Union_Fan

Union_Fan 2,155 Report Share Posted October 28, 2016 Looking at some Hudl video of Letcher. Definitely a different QB, but this year's may be as good if not better. Their WR #24 looks pretty dangerous. As long as we can corral him, I think we'll be fine. Unionguy_2017 288 Report Share Posted October 29, 2016 Felt as if In the 2nd half that LCC didn't even care about winning the game, they were just trying to go At Mitchell and Fannon. Things got chipy quickly. Anyhow, Happy that we were able to run away with it. BigWinners
