02GW12 91 Report Share Posted November 28, 2016 I'd love to see BB continue this run but I only see 1 team beating Phoebus. SR that team is special.
1bburgfan 41 Report Share Posted November 28, 2016 Football is a funny game and a funny shape and bounces in funny ways. At this point of the season anything can happen. They have a good defense, sometimes a little to aggressive and undisciplined . I have a feeling this one will be a lot closer than most believe. 1bburgfan 41 Report Share Posted November 29, 2016 They arnt Phoebus of old, and no1 gave Magna Vista a chance against them last year. And this isn't the Blacksburg team you saw at the first of the year. Lots of corrections have been made, kids now go both ways, no onside kicks, and we punt when we have too. Now I am no longer A: a disgruntled parent lol B: disgruntled ex coach lol just a C: 1bburgfan who believes in just letting the kids play. Its been a great fall for Blacksburg sports 3 state championships, boys and girls cross country, golf, girls volleyball state runnerups, and football in the final four. Rod Johnson 95 Report Share Posted November 29, 2016 The Phoebus offense has been inconsistent, at times, so a good defense can give them problems. Tough to score on them of late though. Definitely not the Phoebus of old, but they are not hurting for quality athletes.
Single A west 113 Report Share Posted November 29, 2016 Burg has some division one type prospects themselves (although young). Phoebus has only given up 6 TD's. I look for them to give up at least 3 more.
Hokiebird7 1,416 Report Share Posted November 29, 2016 Who on Blacksburg is division 1? I highly doubt this unless it's a kicker possibly since the soccer program is so good Lol...darn auto correct mv91

Falcon Mania 235 Report Share Posted November 29, 2016 He better grow some...he is a good player though Hokiebird are you saying in the next couple of years you don't think Tech would not want this kid? He is just a sophomore and he will grow since he is only been in puberty for a few years but he certainly impressed me the one time I got to see him play. The Terry kid has the one thing that can't be coached. SPEED and on top of that he is young enough to develop into a man among boys. Single A west 113 Report Share Posted December 1, 2016 Coleton beck, now at 185lbs, he will probably win the outdoor 100 and 200meters again. Still just a junior. Now Im not talking about Alabama, LSU, Ohio State type recruit. When they time him as a senior at the least some division one schools will look at him in the slot wr spot.
