generallyspeaking 39 Report Share Posted February 20, 2022 Who’s going to be the best in each spot next year? A bunch of talented Qbs and receivers returning that we know of. What other players are coming up. Give some linemen and LBs some love

SwvaOG 601 Report Share Posted February 21, 2022 Walker Lester, Ridgeview (OL/DL).kid is jacked, super strong and likes to mix it up with anybody and everybody. The Sneed kid from Union perplexes me……built like a D-1 kid right now but doesn’t seem to take over games…..he might blow up this season. generallyspeaking

generallyspeaking 39 Author Report Share Posted February 28, 2022 Best returning backs in my opinion are Clements from Graham and Huff from Lee. I’d say those two will be in the debate for region POY toward the end of the season. Anyone know about the kickers or punters that have a big leg around here? Dylan Brown from Richlands returns at RB. For K/P: Onate (Central) and Bandy (Richlands) are head and shoulders above everyone else and are offensive weapons. On the punt side : Bandy and Beavers (Ridgeview) were All-Region and return. Bandy is a traditional punter and Beavers is more of the rugby style. Richlands continues its trend of an excellent kicking game. Lobster
SwvaOG 601 Report Share Posted February 28, 2022 Something to keep an eye on is the QB crop….quite a few teams will be breaking in a new QB and the top two returners in the region will both just be Sophomores and both have excellent receiving corps. I think the QB from Lee will be up there as well. Should be fun.

S10SQUAREBODY4LIFE 239 Report Share Posted March 4, 2022 POY: too early to say with this being one of the deepest/talented graduating classes in a long time. Lots of talent left in 2D but front runners gotta be O'quinn/Beavers, Creasy/Harris TAZ, Clements (if he continues as he was), Pendergraft/Huff (if numbers are better vs tougher opponents), Honeycutt?/Satterfield (which ever picks up Lomax's workload), Delaney/Thomas(Stevie's brother), Central QB, GC? Marion? JSB? Rich? Look at what big players did on both sides of the ball in big games this past season. A lot can change with the normal schedule to prepare for a season instead of coming off a spring covid season with the short break right into another season. Ridgeview should be the team favorite with what they return, followed by Graham, Union, Central, Rich, Taz, VHS, Lee, GC, Marion, Jsb. RV can’t hold it together season to season and it appears they are moving on to different offense. I’m not sure betting on them is smart money. Their intangibles seem to stink. Marion returns a JR QB and a pretty deep receiver core from last year. They spread the ball around a lot with 4 of those guys catching 20+ balls. I dont know what the offense will be with the new head coach but the potential is there for that group to have a break out season if everyone is healthy and on the same page.
