LegendatLegion 109 Report Share Posted December 16, 2015 It's a maddening, addictive, love/hate relationship if you play golf on a regular basis! You forgot expensive!
LegendatLegion 109 Report Share Posted December 16, 2015 I have a propensity to be in the fairway with a pitching wedge in my hand and remembering that one time 15 years ago when i hit that wedge that far, and to about a foot. Then my older self reminds me that i am not that guy, and hit the 9 iron moron (sometimes 8) :) Bearcat Bob, sixcat and GMan

Hacker 82 Report Share Posted December 16, 2015 Especially when a little cash is on the line... Yeah, some folks game improves dramatically when $$$ are involved. Others can't deal with the pressure a few $$$ add. cityofRaven and GMan

I can crap up my league for months at a time, yet bowl strikingly well in cash/tournaments. Ryan4VT

Most people are the opposite, especially golfers. The ones with vanity handicaps and $2000 golf bags are typically easy targets. They are usually the ones in the parking lot with European style license plates on their expensive German sedan. They may shot a random 70 with nobody watching. Play for anything and their nuts shrivel up like raisins. Bearcat Bob and Ryan4VT

Ryan4VT 4,554 Report Share Posted December 26, 2015 Well, got my clubs today. This thread is the literal reason why I now own golf clubs and will now get angry at myself for losing money all to chase that one good shot. Thanks guys! 1inStripes

sixcat 2,919 Report Share Posted December 28, 2015 It appears my 7 year old daughter has been bitten by the golf bug. We have played 27 holes together since Saturday and she is begging for more. I wouldn't trade this experience for anything in the world. We have had so much fun together.
