I should've worded my post differently. The VHSL has done a great job at keeping the top of the record books (e.g. 2000 pts + career, 800 pts + season, 500+ coaching wins). Part of the beauty of Marshall Johnson's work was the depth of his records. I find it interesting the accomplishments of those great players who didn't reach the milestones in the Book of Records (e.g. Talford's best season, Marsee's best game, Silver's career points). I guess I was lamenting the fact that I don't know of anyone who is tracking and publishing records to the extent of Marshall Johnson.
