Word circling around Battle is that if Reed gets the job, he won't have much to work with. A lot of the main players on the rosters said that they aren't going to play for him and either transfer or focus on other sports at the school. The boys have gotten sniff of this and held a players meeting after workouts and were not happy about this. A lot of them are friends with the boys on Abingdons team and have heard what kind of a coach he is.

Lol. Priorities man. Yes, I will be primarily at D-B events moving forward because my girlfriend's son goes to school and is a student athlete there. It's very possible also that in a few years, I will be a Letcher Central fan, since that is where my daughter will eventually be going to high school. I will still be at Ridgeview events when it doesn't conflict with anything else. I didn't tuck my tail and run. :-)

I’m just going to support and cheer them on and hopefully we have a winning season. I probably won’t make any predictions. I just want the kids and coaches to work hard to turn things around. If I see improvement from the past few years I’ll chalk it up as a winning season if the record doesn’t reflect it. We have a lot to fix. Just going to stay positive. Legion Field is getting a new scoreboard and things are being done to get the kids excited. So I hope it all pays off.

you could be right, but watching Wofford play the last two seasons, those dudes were legit. He would have had to made serious strides in his shooting and defense to play. But again, why not ETSU?? Did they not offer? Close to home, great program, chance to play, maybe make NCAAT, etc... I believe it you're from SWVA and a big time P5 school doesn't offer, ETSU should be your choice or Uva-Wise, if you aren't quite at a D1 level. Esp in football.

This is an honor he is truly deserving. His records were good. His contribution to his community was unequalled.
