Those others you list have it far worse than I do. They’re out there putting their lives on the line to help others. I’m just writing about them.

How can you fault a guy for trying to improve his situation? Why shouldn't money win out?

At times like this, I need to step back and remind myself that people like you Ryan, medical personnel, police, firemen, grocery personnel are on the front lines in this war. Admiration and respect for all who are making a difference for the rest of us. God bless!!!

  6. Congratulations to all the locals who have made the Single A All State teams. I haven’t seen AA yet. IMO Bradley Dean from Gate City deserves at least a share of the Player Of The Year. Any guy that can carry a team to another state championship appearance and go for 32 against the state champs need at least a share. If Robertson can get a share of it with Ervin and Ervin only go as far as the final four then Dean needs to share it with whoever from John Marshall IMO. Anyone agree or disagree leave it in the comments below.

I've always been such a sports fan,and I never would have in a million years thought I'd say this, but while this pandemic is rough,it's actually been in some ways a blessing to me. It's given me time to set aside worldly matters (other than work of course),and focus on my faith and my family. It's made me realize what matters most and really just how trivial sports are when you compare them. My relationships have strengthened, and I've enjoyed and absorbed the meaningful conversations that we should have been having all along.

  8. Yeah! Just heard this myself! As a PH fan, and parent, thought it was kinda crappy to be getting this news, through social media in the middle of a pandemic! More power to him, i just hate it for the younger kids, that bought into his "brotherhood" mentality. Brotherhood is thick or thin, I guess money won out on this bid! Good luck, Coach Palmer in greener pastures. Our boys are Rebels no matter what, and you better believe this will be just the ammunition they need, to be back on top!
