I feel that if #43 comes back by the playoffs and Union can limit mistakes, I feel Union can play with anybody!
And when they make BIG PLAYS on both sides of the ball during the game, I see that the team feeds off the positive energy from them..    

Most of us foolishly had that mindset last year. Not this year though 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

It’s wishful thinking to think that he’s saving something for the playoffs. The offensive playbook was opened up when we played Central, yet last night it was very, very basic. If in your two biggest games of the year (RV and Abingdon) you have a hard time opening it up, there’s no way it’ll happen in the win or go home playoffs.

It was a crap show for sure. Hopefully, it will never rain again! Lol

Exactly. That’s one of many things going on that are uncharacteristic. Don’t get me wrong, I love the aggressiveness. But it’s a double edged sword that when is going bad, it’s awful. 

Never seen them play this undisciplined and that goes back to their 1st season when they went 5-5.

Too many fumbles(radio said 7), mistakes, cramps, missed assignments, players going both ways and horrible passes.
The injury to Polier didn't help either.
I said it after the benefit game with Va High that the lack of depth was a concern and it showed tonight. The players were gassed in the 4th quarter. 
The Falcons came to play and Union couldn't get out of their own way. 
Congratulations Abingdon on a great win and the Mountain 7 championship.

Congrats to the Falcons. You can’t beat a team with 5-7 fumbles (I don’t know the exact number) and two bad snaps on punts that give them field position inside the 20. Abingdon executed when they needed to though, and you can’t take that away from them. 
 
Union has some real issues going on. I’m sure everyone else’s opinion on these certain subjects are pretty close to mine. 

We had a couple games in 2014 that were back to back against Middlesboro and Lee High at the park that were both played in absolute downpours. My friends and I refer to them as “the rain game.” Here we go again... 😂

That playoff game in 2013 against Lee was horrible. I remember people from Lee having a big red canopy set up in the stands.

Pendergraft ain't going nowhere he has 2 nephews coming up in a very good youth program. Now with that being said as long as he is there Lee will suffer because he is coaching Daddy ball and that folks is where the problem lies. With Coach Martin's short success he was ran off he didn't choice to leave on his on very reliable source for that tidbit. Let me fire 1 huge Cannon shot. The 2D picture isn't as clear cut as it seemed a few weeks ago. With Abingdon's victory over Ridgeview and so MANY toss-up games remaining, the picture is pretty fuzzy for final positions. Only Lebanon and Gate City are eliminated. Let's start with a battle of four 9-1 teams.

At this point I think Grundy will have more impact on final seeding than any other team. Alleghany, NC wining their final 2 games could help an 8-2 Grayson Co jump a 9-1 Graham for 3rd if GC defeats Central and Grundy wins their last 2. If Grundy wins out and Letcher drops their game, Union and Ridgeview could be tied at 263 pts. Grundy, Grundy, Grundy!

As much as it pains me to say this, Central could be a real problem in a few years unless politics take over etc etc etc. When you play that many young guys the future has to be bright.

I think inserting Gibson to corner and moving Jenkins to safety has improved the secondary quite a bit. It sucks for Falin though because I thought he was doing a pretty good job back there.

I do wish they were used more. I’m not sure it would have made the biggest difference tonight though. 

Run defense for ridgeview really impressed me tonight....it was pretty much lights out..Polier had a few good runs...he impressed me the most.  And on defense he seemed to always be around the ball, gave a Adkins a nice hit in the 2nd quarter...
