  1. Isn't time to fire this thread back up. Local colleges will start playing this weekend and we haven't made any comments about the coming season about Emory, UVA-Wise or ETSU. Whats everyone's thoughts on the coming football season?
  2. Gabe Boothe - Sr. QB Abingdon 10 Comp 11Attempts 177 Yards 2 TD 0 INT
  3. I just don't feel like this is a high scoring game. Union needs to grind on the clock to keep Richlands Offense off the field. The Blues need to keep scoring with the Bears and get it into the 4th quarter. Turnovers may be the deciding factor and its going to be an electric atmosphere at Ernie Hicks. Expect a large and rowdy crowd. Just because I feel Union's run game is probably better, I pick the Bears Bears 17 Blues 14
  4. 1. Bluefield 2. Ridgeview 3. Pulaski 4. Union 5. Abingdon 6. Va High 7. Richlands 8. Graham 9. Glenvar 10. Chilhowie Honorable mention: Radford, Patrick Henry, Fort Chiswell, Wise Central
  5. I'll refrain from an in depth comment. Ryan appears to have it covered. Yeah, we'll go with Ryan's response.
  6. Over Union or Ridgeview was a bit of a head scratcher to me. I guess WCYB has high hopes for Marion. That or they are billing this week as the game of the week Chilhowie vs Marion
  7. That there is exactly why you shouldn't move to the Roanoke Valley area. I don't think I have ever witnessed something like that at a high school sports event. Lock her up! Lock her up!. Wait, too soon?. hahahahahaha
  8. UPDATE AFTER SCRIMMAGES/BENEFIT GAMES 1 Bluefield 2 Pulaski 3 Graham 4 Union 5 Abingdon 6 Ridgeview 7 VA High 8 Richlands 9 Chilhowie 10 Marion
  9. Tenn High by a lot. Could be the most lopsided game this week
  10. Bluefield in a barn burner 35- 32
  11. Unon is to big as a whole. Fatigue will play a major roll on JIB and lack of depth. Bears 46 Raiders 14
  12. The Bulldogs are young and have a depth/experience issue. VHS has more depth and can play the long game plus I feel the Bearcats might be more talented in their skill positions. Tazewell will hang around for a half but VHS pulls away in the second half and wins comfortably. VHS 28 THS 12
  13. This could be the marquee game this week. Chilhowie is going to be very good and should roll through 1D. Not a lot is known about Marion. They appear to have kept things under wraps this off season but there is claims that they are/could be very good. I don't know much about the Scarlett Hurricane. Should be a good game even though I feel the team from Smyth County comes out on top. Chilhowie 34 Marion 20
  14. Theres not been a lot of noise coming out of Exit 7 area. Where O Where have those Trojans been this off season and preseason. I guess we will find out Friday night as The Falcon travel to John Battle. AHS 42 JSB 17
  15. Richlands by whatever margin of victory Coach Mance decides and that might not be predictable.
  16. I don't think Richlands has much to worry about this week or next. They should handle both teams. It will also give the Richlands staff a good opportunity to shore up some things. Richlands 35 - Grundy 14
  17. Abingdon is traveling up to Emory to take on Patrick Henry in their annual benefit game tonight at 7:00 pm. I can't wait to finally see some game situation reps with this new offense and how the defense is going to operate. I'm sure Coach Amburgey will want to make a statement and let SWVA know not to be overlooking the Falcons this year. My pick: AHS 35 - PH 13
  18. HAHAHA. Come on G Man. 98% were thinking that exact comment. Welcome to the board UNION#ATW Glad to have ya. Now brace yourself. It is football season and things tend to ramp up around here.
  19. 1 Chilhowie 2 Galax 3 George Wythe 4 Grundy 5 J. I. Burton 6 Hurley 7 Patrick Henry 8 Thomas Walker 9 Northwood 10 Eastside
  20. Likewise at Abingdon Ryan. Back in the day they had red as part of the color scheme but has faded away. Now Navy, White and Gray
