You remind me of another poster that went by the name Union's Hammer. Based on the post history, both of you bash Edwards and Bostic, comment on underage players, and have an affinity for complaining about there being little to no change on the defensive side of the ball. But that is just an observation from someone who is outside the Union circle.

Guess that's better than a middle school coach getting on here and bashing him.

Eastside is having a unusual dry period for being the biggest. While other schools have to rebuild after a good run, Eastside has been spoiled with reloading year In and year out in all sports. It's pads the trophy case to be the biggest fish in the smallest pond. In fact I can't remember a single sport where Eastside has been dead last, the sheer number of students prevents that from ever happening.

Thomas walker had a horrible contractor that left the field unseeded after installing the new sprinklers. Lee high is in the process of painting their Track and did not want to ruin that. Pennington does not have working bathrooms. Basically a lot of things out of our power that came to a head. You really can't get anyone to work anywhere.

I agree, Lee has dodged this game since the scrimmage scare of 2017. Seems odd that county rival was off the schedule during a dark period.

No that is Fact unless its 6 or 7 years out. Wise Central has basically built a SWVA All team for the next 5 years. Going a Step further, I saw Richlands girls play. They will be the most competitive in 2 years when everyone matures. Based on what they presented last year along with their JV, they are at best the 4th best team in the M7. Firmly behind WC/RV and fighting GC. They can beat Union and Lee.

Wal Mart is within Norton city limits, I know that with almost certainty. Knowing the JIB side of the story, the seats on the new school board were the problem. They would not approve anything that did not allow Norton city a majority or atleast half of the votes on the new school board, I can see why the county rejected that offer.

TWHS played both and its Wise central COMFORTABLE winning by 20 to 25 points. Wise central's guard play is too much for Honaker's pressure style defense to work (They rely on this). If needed I can expand more but its not close this year, last year maybe but not this year.

The Cumberland district tournament was not streamed so unless someone goes out of their way, UVA do not have the capability to do it.

After last night, the race in the Cumberland Girls became very interesting with a 3 way gridlock at 3rd place, I wonder how that will get solved.

LCA is in a horrible geographical location right off of the 81/40 switch. For any success, you must poach, Hamblem, Jefferson County, West Greene, Cocke, and Sevier Counties. The problem is that those individuals have and will go the other way for WAY more exposure at Greeneville or Knoxville area schools. Facilities are better than Carson Newman and Tusculum put together.

I believe the baby boomers are going to be in a world of hurt in the coming years. They lived through the greatest economic period possible and the vast majority blew everything. Once their power is handed off to the next generation, so will their handouts. The majority of younger generation believe boomers are to blame for the economic problems we face, rightfully so. With this understanding, I doubt many will ever provide a handout to that generation and instead use the same selfish behavior at the expense of the boomers, monkey see monkey do.

Meeting Casto should never have been a requirement or even mentioned. If Casto retired, he should have ate his enormously artificially inflated pride, got behind the new hire or complete cut ties with the situation. A new coach needs to distance himself from the old situation, set his standards and principles at the start and build from there. If no one gets on board then Riverheads got exactly what it deserves, a situation with no coach.

What happened between 2011~ and 2014??? You never made it to the title game once and only had 3 appearances before then. What change in 2015 and is still happening now?

According to the fan base, When has Union's Starters played an entire game this season?? It wasn't Central or Abingdon. I know, I know, had an Elizabethton or Letcher County been on Union's schedule they would be undefeated now, instead we had to go to Ewing and that single game has ruined our entire season. Sorry I am paraphrasing your hypocrisy, I'm just trying to see the broken logic.

To think, some Union fans would have chose to play 9 games instead of coming to Ewing.
