Im ok with it but KY is odd with sports. They play private vs public. LCA, Lex Cath, Trinity, and other private school are better off than almost any school we have ever seen. They have other tournaments that smaller schools classify as their "state championship" but the Khsaa does not recognize The Sweet sixteen in every sport other than football is dominated by Louisville and Lexington teams constantly (Volleyball, soccer, baseball). It would be an nice idea to continue on against the whole state, but when specifically focusing on Virginia and their lack of funding in Education, it would only show how awful the spending gap is between 1a and 6a schools. KY and TN spreads out there educational spending better and its not stuffed up the asses of Richmond and WDC. I saw a report that showed Virignia Equitable among Education spending is dead last, i believe it.

Sad part is the 15th 14th and 13th region's are historically terrible outside of the laurels. But they are better than any team swva puts out. There are jv teams that would have won the Cumberland district last year and probably 1a state title. Outside of 2010 there hasn't been a team this side of ky win the sweet sixteen

I simply used an observation to link union's hammer to dawg01, I have no problem with him bashing Bostic, Turner, or Edwards. I do have a problem with him "suggesting" that certain players deserve time over others. Its passive aggressive bashing. Just like you, I had my dirty laundry here at TWHS with Johnson. I did not agree with the spread system. I would have ran the T after seeing the 2017 scrimmage, West Greene, and Harlan games. Furthermore, I am ticked at Johnson for leaving for greener pastures with an athlete that could have easily turned the tide at Thomas Walker instead of taking them to Union. Now that Johnson's tenure is up, I feel that I can easily speak my peace without harming either team, which is the same way that Union Fans should be. Wouldn't you agree?

Trinity KY shouldnt be bad. They played with the eventual KHSSA Sweet sixteen champ and return most of their players. In fact I would take them over every TN in the field. KY ball is a different breed

You remind me of another poster that went by the name Union's Hammer. Based on the post history, both of you bash Edwards and Bostic, comment on underage players, and have an affinity for complaining about there being little to no change on the defensive side of the ball. But that is just an observation from someone who is outside the Union circle.

Guess that's better than a middle school coach getting on here and bashing him.

Eastside is having a unusual dry period for being the biggest. While other schools have to rebuild after a good run, Eastside has been spoiled with reloading year In and year out in all sports. It's pads the trophy case to be the biggest fish in the smallest pond. In fact I can't remember a single sport where Eastside has been dead last, the sheer number of students prevents that from ever happening.

Thomas walker had a horrible contractor that left the field unseeded after installing the new sprinklers. Lee high is in the process of painting their Track and did not want to ruin that. Pennington does not have working bathrooms. Basically a lot of things out of our power that came to a head. You really can't get anyone to work anywhere.

I agree, Lee has dodged this game since the scrimmage scare of 2017. Seems odd that county rival was off the schedule during a dark period.

No that is Fact unless its 6 or 7 years out. Wise Central has basically built a SWVA All team for the next 5 years. Going a Step further, I saw Richlands girls play. They will be the most competitive in 2 years when everyone matures. Based on what they presented last year along with their JV, they are at best the 4th best team in the M7. Firmly behind WC/RV and fighting GC. They can beat Union and Lee.

Dear God shot me now, Council and Hurley looking to join the Cumberland. Nothing against theses schools, but everything against the drive.

That would be a haul. Shoot me now. All region teams are about to be stacked with only Hogo members. Not looking forward to that.

Wal Mart is within Norton city limits, I know that with almost certainty. Knowing the JIB side of the story, the seats on the new school board were the problem. They would not approve anything that did not allow Norton city a majority or atleast half of the votes on the new school board, I can see why the county rejected that offer.

TWHS played both and its Wise central COMFORTABLE winning by 20 to 25 points. Wise central's guard play is too much for Honaker's pressure style defense to work (They rely on this). If needed I can expand more but its not close this year, last year maybe but not this year.

The Cumberland district tournament was not streamed so unless someone goes out of their way, UVA do not have the capability to do it.

After last night, the race in the Cumberland Girls became very interesting with a 3 way gridlock at 3rd place, I wonder how that will get solved.
