Regardless, if any Tazewell Co team wins the SWD and goes beyond, I’ll be the first to congratulate them whether they’re a Bulldog, a Blue Tornado, or GMen! This season will be full of all kinds of whackyness , surprises, and road bumps if I were guessing. I just hope all teams stay healthy and gets their games in. Now, bring on the games!!!!

Guess you missed where a certain Tazewell County coach Tweeted or maybe it was an interview; now this is a paraphrase; Tazewell isn’t as good as people think they’ll be, Graham lost almost all their starters, and everyone else in SWD stinks. I believe he also said he learned about football from playing Madden. We might need to forego the season and just crown the district champs now. 🏈🏆Who knows? Maybe he’s right, maybe he’s not. Maybe some things are better left unsaid & settled on the field, lol. I suppose we’ll see.

Thanks for nothing Ralph! 🙄. Ridiculous to have a 10,000 capacity stadium limited to 250 spectators which includes band:cheerleaders. It needs to be a percentage of total capacity.

Graham played a weak schedule and that usually shows up at playoff time. SWD was pretty much awful this year.

I thought all along the weak SWD would hurt Graham in the playoffs. I hate for them but it is what it is. Congratulations, Gate City.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Radford takes it all. Graham’s lack of quality competition will catch up to them I’m afraid. I hope I’m wrong obviously.

Brrrrrrrrr....6am is cold! If I were a basketball coach and my team was the top in the district, I’m not sure I’d want them practicing football with tournaments going on to be honest. Hopefully, they get in 7 before game 1.

I know Graham players are not practicing football if they’re currently playing basketball. Hopefully, they get to practice before that first game with Richlands. This whole thing is messed up. I stand firm, we should have had fall sports in the fall. I’m glad they’re playing though even if it is now and a shortened season.

Total ridiculousness! Outdoor stadiums are far larger and obviously open air in contrast to gymnasiums. Our Governor is an idiot! He’s stolen enough from our kids the past year. Common sense has left the house so to speak. I mean what’s the capacity of Mitchell Stadium? 10.000??? There are going to be maybe 100 people allowed in? I mean at least give coaches a pair of tickets too. It’s not like it’s going to be a gazillion more people. I’ll be tuning in my radio. Thank goodness for that at least. Sorry for the rant!

Heard Graham is in 40s, not sure how many at practice but several are out until basketball is done.

I heard one ticket per player no tickets to coaches.

Graham will probably have several athletes this affects. If you suck at winter sports you get an advantage as far as having all your football players when practice starts. If your school has multi sport athletes and playoffs for winter, then sucks for the football program as far as having all boys to practice leading up to abbreviated season.

I'm predicting if they stay healthy, Tazewell may have a better year than they have had in recent years.

I heard tonight a player from Lebanon and one of the refs. I guess that’s called a double whammy. Hate it for both teams.

I believe they had a player from last night's game test positive thus quarantining GMen team. Someone with more information may be able confirm this.

What happens if a football team.is in violation of "dead period" by still lifting in weight room? If they're found out that is, lol?

Call me selfish but I’d take messy playoffs, a few cancellations, etc. over no football at all. Good for WV & TN for getting in some HS football albeit not perfect scenarios. I juat hope VA teams get to play. I still have nothing good to say about Ralphie in general. 😂 actually most politicians in general.
