And look at where we are today, playing for chance to go to state✨🏈 I just want to say I'm proud of the Union bears for what they've done through this situation with covid-19.
I think coach Turner and his staff will put the best game plan together today to give us a shot to win ( just look what they've done the last 2 weeks for us)
The union fans will have to do their part today and be the 12th man making lots of noise, Bells, Train horns 🚂🚃 and more🌧
I would wager that the vast majority of Union fans feel as I do regarding tomorrow. We are playing with house money. There's zero pressure on our kids. Not a soul going into this season thought this team would be Region D Champions and a state semifinalist. Appo has the weight of expectation-not us. Go out and be loose and hit 'em in the mouth and see what happens Bears.
I will have to agree with you 100% on your post....If Union can play with them hand & hand and stay away from the BIG PLAY they have a great chance in winning this game...I think the weather plays a factor in this game also, A wet sloppy field will slow a fast Appomattox down some....

#2 A big thanks to UNION'S HAMMER for bringing the train horn on the road tonight. I'm sure you got the Union crowd fired up and helped to cheer on the bears.

I don't know the specific details as to why the Bears are playing Eastside since Union has wrapped up their playoff birth and doesn't need the help, and playing this game against Eastside could be seen as a gamble when considering injury risk and Covid risk for the Bears. But, pretty classy move by Coach Turner in my opinion. The kids want to play football. They are simply........... football players, and it's in the blood from the days of Appy and P. Valley. Coach Turner is simply letting his kids play football, and to he** with the risk. Sometimes, it just comes down to doing what you love to do, and that is......coach football and let the kids play football. Classy move on behalf of the Bears Head Coach and staff.

Coach Turner needs to play his true starters this time to make sure he has all the kinks worked out. I feel he has players that can play both ways but he wants to figure out which players he can plug in to help out in certain situations.
I feel tonight's game with Abingdon will show if we can play 💪 Big Boy football this year!!

John Battle will be no push over by no means! The defense for Union has looked good but somewhat exposed on the quick out passes against Gate City. They are work to be done on both sides of the ball for Union.

But on this play with the video is showing...its nothing to do with the horn being LOUD during the play.. The offense is taking the time to see if the coach wants to audible out of the play after he see how the defense set up.

Any word on Zack Halls injury from Friday night? Looked pretty bad. I know he came back in the game later in the second half. Was hearing it was possibly a torn or sprained mcl?

For the game going forward am not sure if UNION can pull this off or not...My thought is, this game will not be no blowout by eather side... Travis Turner will have a good plan to keep us in it..
