Not sure I'd go as far as betting the farm, you might end up homeless. It should be much closer than the beatdown Richlands took last year at Mitchell during regular season. My guess is both teams will be ready and it's a barn burner. 

I was young so I never got to see any of Cokie's games, but I always said if I had a son I was naming him after Cokie, and I did.

My dad was a distant relative to Cokie as well. My mom was in the same graduating class as Cokie in high school. I've heard what a great player he was for a long time. 

Thanks EH31 for sharing this.  Cokie Kitts was a relative.  He had offers from Notre Dame and Tennesse when he graduated from Tazewell.  He went to Tennessee, but his scholly was pulled when he was found out to be married.  He then went on to play for Casto Ramsey at E & H and did well there until he was diagnosed with Bright's disease (kidneys).  Tragically he passed away when he was 29 years old.  
Wonderful wondeful person.  Matter of fact his great-grandson is now a student at Tazewell, Brent Anderson.  

This. Blow it all day long until the QB is lined up trying to get the snap and you’re blowing it to try and cause a penalty. I love the horns and the atmosphere. Just don’t affect the game with it during a play. Just my two cents.

After seeing the dawgs in action last night I can say that this is the best team they have had in awhile, Graham just had more athletes on the field and executed almost to perfection. 
If there is such a thing as a good loss, I believe last night was a good one for Tazewell. They now know where the need to be in order to compete in the district and against teams with more talent than VA High. 
This game against Mt View could be a make or break game. If the dawgs win this game I believe it will do wonders for them with confidence in the rest of the season, but if they lose the season could turn into a long one. 
With that being said, Tazewell wins by at least two touchdown. Good luck the rest of the way Dawgs!

One thing about Tazewell is that the xommunity is always behind them.  Super crowd for Tazewell last night.  The fans always seem to show up for Tazewell, win or lose.

No matter the outcome, I just wanna see Tazewell come out and play with the same fire and passion they did this past Friday Night.  I can honestly say that game was the most dominate game I have seen Tazewell play in many of years.  I'm excited for this game and the rest of the season to come. These guys have been taken behind the woodshed for the past two years and had their asses beat. By the looks of week 1 they have had enough of it. Lot of these other teams when they see the Bulldogs this season that played them last year are gonna be like damn where did these boys come from,  it was my first thoughts when I seen them for the first time in full gear.  Over heard a few Va-High fan mention the other night that they did notice many of the guys from the Tazewell team from a year ago. They've put the hard work in the off season, they just need to make sure they translate into game days.Good Luck to both teams, Go Dawgs.
