Not sure where you read Graham isn't as good as last year. I think they are better . Giles is a little better than last year. Graham beat em 35-3 without Graham's first team All State linebacker. Giles lost to Blacksburg I think 24-0. Tazewell is way better. Graham obliterated them. Union is a solid team, but I think Graham wins by 20. If this game were to come down the wire, it would be as big of shock to me in a long time for a Graham team that is perceived and expected to win, but then loses.

I've seen this happen in Virginia as well... apparently even though it was touched out of the endzone, if it rolls into the endzone it's still a touchback. I think the rule sucks. But I guess it's the rule.

Can someone clear up a question about the kickoff touchback rule (playing in Kentucky)?
we kicked off to LCC. Return man had the ball go off his hands at about the five. The ball rolled deep into the end zone. The WHITE HAT blew the play dead and signaled touchback while the return man had scooped the ball and started running.
I dont pretend to know all high school rules. But wouldn’t that be a live ball since it hit the return team player. Coach Turner stayed calm, so I was thinking I missed something.
I understand stacking the box, but not having a safety on the field seems silly to me. It's basically a guaranteed TD if a WR beats your DB or a runner breaks the second level up the middle. But I won't clutter up the update thread. 28-12 at the half after Polier scored from one yard out to end half.

Your right about the first part. Nice name drop. Yes Wes S put him in the wall. ON ORDER! Were you in the locker room. Or was you one of the few placer TJ and Stevie selected to help them lie about it.
No they do not. And even if they did the kid who did that to Mac transferred to Union during that season. He did that on his own. Mac was fine thankfully and just destroyed Central by himself that game. The coaches would never tell a kid to do that. No high school coach would teach a kid to be dirty. You need to grow up and become an adult and stop with the ignorant accusations. All coaches are passionate if they care at all but no one wants to see anyone get hurt.
You should maybe reserve your opinions until you know the facts! Those kids were coached to do that. I know this first hand. TJ is the david koresh of wise county. Don't be blinded by the light. Those kids were told to do that. Yes, the kid did transfer to Union. So did his little brother. But in no way did he do it on his own. He also apologized to Mac for it after the game the next time they played. Dont forget that little tj commited the hard foul that same play on him. Funny how he is never brought up, just the kid that put him into the wall.
Do these coaches have anything to do with basketball? Because I also recall Mac McLung pretty much taking a spear into the wall pads during basketball season.
The kid was doing what tj told them to do. James Mitchell and Mac were not to dunk. If they tried, put them into the wall. Dont blame the kids for doing what they are coached to do. Right or wrong.
Yep, Letcher is down. No big accomplishment beating them. I wish you guys would schedule Belfry, Johnson Central, Pikeville. That's the real teams in East ky.
No one can accuse Coach Turner of dodging competition. My guess is he scheduled who had an opening. We don't fill our schedule with 1A cupcakes lol. But it sounds like LCC is down from what I gather. Time will tell.
this is the most intriguing game to me this week. Both teams have rolled inferior opponents and there's some chatter that Wise is legit and can make some noise.
They scrimmage 1A teams and their non conference games are 1A. Really challenging this "next big thing" group. Scrimmaged an awful Marion team, the only 2A competition. Come on man!
You'll not hear any grips from this long time Blues fan about the noise, or the atmosphere, loved it, High School Friday night football at its best. Loved the game, just not the fourth quarter, LoL Thought Union made the right adjustments, and the Blues just got worn down in the end. A true Blues fan doesn't hate on other teams fans, we respect them, and when the last whistle blows and we loose, we take our hats off to the other team, and say "Wait til next year. Congrats to the Bears and their fan base, good game.
The feeling is mutual pal. We expect a rowdy atmosphere when we travel. And respect those who rock the bleachers like we do. There will be idiots here and there from every fan base. Nobody bats 1000%.

He doesn’t speak for Union. Please understand that. Those kids have been raised by PV and Appy parents who were born with a football and still have that mentality to this day. History means everything to these kids. They want to make their community proud.
Antwun Jenkins from The U. (Pretty sure I misspelled his first name). Kid was everywhere. Made key plays to tilt the game from the defensive side of the ball. Kids been overshadowed by his other three brothers. But he’s coming into his own now.
Adkins from RV. He’s rushed for about 1.3 miles per game lol.
