  1. Holston 60, Northwood 6. Northwood didn’t look like they practiced special teams gave up 2 punt returns for TDs. everyone associated with that program should be ashamed but you have an admin that doesnt care so this is what you will keep getting
  2. Chilhowie but now is when the schedule gets tough, county champs over Marion and a poorly coached Northwood team. Let's see how we do in the backhalf of the schedule.
  3. narrows > holston > JB > abingdon > gate city. infinity stones
  4. ugly northwood getting what they deserve with this hc and offensive coordinator
  5. how many seniors did lebanon lose from last year's team? thinking it was a lot
  6. Think Middlesboro edges this one out
  7. northwood needs to clean house that was an ugly performance all the way around
  8. it's week 1 so offenses are usually lagging behind the defense but with these teams' styles im leaning towards a shootout. Give the edge to Honaker by about 2 scores.
  9. Is Chilhowie making a change? Northwood admin should admit they made a mistake with their current guy. He and the OC are a joke.
  10. Mid-December if a program is organized. Well into the spring if not or if there are late resignations.
  11. they didn't have an amateur at OC (county champs).
  12. Rural Retreat 45, Northwood 0. NW has lost its last 3 games by an average score of 40.3 to 0.
  13. How did they look last night?
  14. Have seen Rye Cove, PH, Lebanon, Grundy, Holston, Northwood, Honaker, and RR play. PH and Grundy are a cut above in that group from what I’ve seen. Both have played relatively strong schedules so far, both have awesome RBs (probably the best in Region D in Scammell and McFail), and have good enough defenses. The turnaround at Rye Cove is impressive and their coach probably should win COTY, but they’ve benefited from an easy schedule so far and have pulled out a couple of close games against average teams. Play sound football on both sides of the ball but don’t see them making the finals. Rural Retreat, Lebanon, and maybe Holston would be in the next tier for me of the teams I’ve seen. RR is solid and Lebanon in particular could play spoiler. Their defense has some problems but when they can keep the QB protected and their passing attack gets rolling, they can put up some points. Honaker is a sieve on defense. Their offense is pretty good but we’ve seen what happens when they play a good team in Grundy. Until they played Lebanon, NW played arguably the easiest schedule in SWVA and struggled to beat arguably historically bad Marion and Chilhowie teams. They are inept on offense and I don’t see them winning another game unless their defense can create some points. Haven’t seen Burton but heard they are putting things together.
  15. Haven't seen Honaker scrimmage but Lebanon looks very talented offensively. Their freshman QB (anyone know his name?) looks like a phenom and they have a couple of WRs with good quickness and hands. Also have two solid RBs. Defensively they looked like they needed some work but I imagine they'll put up some points this year on offense. Hard to make a prediction without having seen Honaker though.
  16. Not quite. HC brought him on this summer and wanted him to stay...
  17. Heard one of these schools already had a new coordinator quit before the season started. May not have been the same level of professionalism he was used to at previous stops.
  18. Narrows defense has looked elite but idk about their offense. Scored twice against Auburn and managed 3 offensive scores against Nortwood, and one was a heave/prayer to end the half. Think they'll struggle to score on CHS. 21-7 Chilhowie is my guess.
