I think a guy named Bubba fits better in Castlewood anyways.

People in Tazewell said the same thing when Shane Allen left. Dixon has a way of coaching coaches just as well as coaching players.

For the record I have said all year that Beavers was awesome. You can fact check me on that, so I don’t want this to seem like I’m downing him. I think Bradshaw, Beavers, & Harris are all three different types of receivers that played in different systems so it’s hard to compare them.

I don’t understand how you can lead the state in receptions and yards and not be first team and not be first team all state. I also don’t understand how you can have 58 catches for 1100 yards, 16 tds and not be first team all state.

I think we’re bickering over who’s better between the 3 when in my opinion those 3 should’ve all made first team. No offense to the kids from Glenvar or Central but when comparing those 5 the 3 SWVA kids should’ve been on the first team but we should all know better than to think the VHSL would allow that to happen.

Only thing painful to watch is Tazewell football.  Where every next year is their year.  Tazewell football not relevant since 87.

Beavers kid is better than both of them as a WR.  Only kid I saw bracketed all year long.

I have Graham, Bluefield and Ridgeview.  I also know the Tazewell schedule situation. I am only interested in COMPLETE schedules. I am not interested in rumors or I think we are playing .....  Now it is likely that many schools are playing the same schedule as last year with home/away flipped. If that is so and you are absolutely sure then that is ok. The reason that I am anal about it is it takes about 15 minutes to input a schedule to www.fourseasonsfootball.com and if it is wrong it takes 30 minutes to undo and redo.
Here are the schedules that I have from this site's coverage area:
    Bluefield
    Graham
    Ridgeview
    Thomas Walker
If you have a schedule for a school on my site but not from this forum's coverage area you can send that to me by PM if you like.

Guy sitting behind me on Saturday was cussing Shane Allen for taking the starters out in the 4th quarter, allowing Holston to double their total yardage, and get a garbage time touchdown. He was all over the place.
"That's it coach, let 'em back in it!"
    "That score's on you coach!"
"Why are we abandoning the passing game, coach!"
Uhm, maybe because the score is 44-13 in the 4th quarter, dipshit. Starters don't need to get hurt in garbage time before the state championship game. Besides, that's invaluable experience for the reserves in terms of building for the future.
Fans can be complete morons!!! I'm consistently fascinated at a coaches ability to brush that stuff off and keep moving forward.

Well, they’ve been known to howl at the moon, run in packs and eat a lot of red meat but I think that’s socially acceptable on the ridge.

Martinsburg held on to beat Parkersburg South 83 to 20.
Also in WV Single A ball, 16 seed Gilmer County beat number one seed Cameron 19-14.
In West Virginia, 2 out of the 3 number one seeds lost to the 16th seed in round one of the playoffs.  Now, I'm not a smart dude, but common sense has me being to wonder just a touch about how in the he** they are deciding who makes the playoffs and equally important, how in the hel* they are seeding teams?  Something ain't right when 2 of the 3 number one seeds lose in round one.  Oh, by the way, in AA ball, the 3 seed lost to the 14 (Bluefield) in round one, and in AA ball, the 4th seed Lincoln lost to the 13 seed, and I've already mentioned the number one seed in AA ball lost.
To sum it up.  In West Virginia's AA in week one, the 1, 2, and 4 seeds all LOST!  If your Bluefield, things obviously went pretty good for you in week one.  One thing though and I don't know about this but suspect it.  COVID.  I would be willing to bet Covid has likely skewed the strength of weakness of how teams finished in their ranking systems.  From schedule changes to teams having several players out for certain games and losing, but then being full strength and winning the next week, etc.  I would bet this would explain 3 out of the 4 top seeds in AA losing in the first week of the playoffs.  Can't be sure though.

If it is true from a total outsiders perspective "My how the mighty have fallen" Richlands went from the best coaching staff in the area, to the one season (kinda) Wells experiment, to the Eastside coach with a losing record! I hope it works but always remember you are one hire a way from being an also ran.

The word I heard last night Lee will be making the best hire they have had in a LLLLLLOOONNNNGGG time.   A former SWVA HC and current DC across the state line is in the works to be hired.  It surprised me when I heard the name if true but multiple sources seemed pointed to this.
