We don't have that weapon with D1 track speed but big up front.  PM looks down for them to my eyes.  This is also their first game and the field is a muddy mess too.  From what I've seen, Narrows should roll through the district.  I think Narrows will do as they usually have done here lately and go until they meet someone who can out athlete them as GW and Galax have done.

High school football is not what every 15-18 year old boy aspires to and is inspired by anymore.  There are infinite pursuits that are competing for the time of our youth in this millennium, when there were much more limited avenues in yesteryear. 

With the “rise-and-grind” mindset that’s pumped into the current generation, I don’t think it’s the work ethic that’s lacking.  There are some extraordinary things being done by youth that aren’t seen in an athletic context.  But it is passion that inspires those pursuits. Getting barked at by a coach doesn’t excite the passion that it did in a previous generation.  A kid can just as easily apply himself to something else.  
 
A good coach, though one that may be gruff, doesn’t have the entire student body population clamoring to play anymore.  It’s not nearly as simple as kids not having a backbone or work ethic. 

Reminds me of Va High and them just painting the lines and hash marks in black to contrast with the dead grass.  Unique look if nothing else.

Haven't seen if other schools have set something like this up or not but Narrows set up a youtube channel they're going to be streaming their games on.

VA High has the resources talent wise to be a Radford clone most of the time.  They've never had the culture to make it work with baseball being the exception.  When you have the culture they've always had, you get these results and will continue to do so.
