I know you guys want to keep graham in the conversation as long as possible but can we quit saying this? Graham couldn’t do anything with Radford in the second half. They were not a threat in the 4th quarter to win the game. 
In comparison, Radford needed a prayer to barely escape Glenvar at home. Radford had to score a touchdown on their last drive. 
 
None of this is arguable. 
 
Congrats to Radford for a perfect season & to Riverheads on being state runners-up!

All this “so and so could be 2nd best” is folly. 
 
At the end of the day it doesn’t matter. Radford won and that’s the only relevant point.

"Riverheads days of domination will be over come next season."
"Riverheads beat George Wythe but will get absolutely smacked by most 2A teams."
"Riverheads cannot compete with the top teams in 2A. They will find out soon enough when they get to play Appomattox, Graham, Glenvar..etc.. They been bullying around those smaller 1A teams for too long"
"One could tell the Riverheads to enjoy the big dance this year because they may not even make it to the floor next year in 2A."

This!  I read all season about how he was a bad coach and Radford may lose in the finals but he is a good coach.  I questioned hiring a coach with a losing record but look what he has done.  We could only field a JV or middle school team and now we have enough for both.  He is building and growing a program in a sport that is dying.  The kids really respond to him.  I think it's time to end the personal attacks.  

Those facts did not fit my narrative.
