That's the problem. The talent isn't there right now. I don't foresee a lot of improvement the next several years. My theory is, and it holds true in most cases, show me a good little league program and you'll see a good high school team year in and year out.

Richlands beat Nicholas County 2-1 in 8 innings. Great game.

On the ride home tonite, ESPN radio reported the Steelers had contacted teams with the first ten picks in the draft about a possible trade. I have a hard time believing they would deal him. I think they give him a chance to change his ways.

That comes with having very little talent, as much as I hate to say it. Fundamentally, they are not very good. They are woefully short on pitching. They don't have many sticks in the lineup. I'm afraid this year won't get any better. I don't foresee a district win. It's sad to see. I wish it were better, but it's reality.

I believe the district tournament was cancelled today in the Piedmont.

The Weather Channel reported that the strongest winds with this storm were behind it in the town of Tazewell, Virginia. Gusts over 70 mph.

Also saw windows blown out of houses as well. Lots of folks lost shingles too.

Lots of trees down. Power out in many places. Many signs down including Hardees. The roof over the playground at McDonalds completely blown off and laying in the parking lot.

You're right that they don't, but they can increase bat speed which translates to more power when you do make contact.

Well that would one more plant in the chest than they had against Richlands this year, lol. :D
