Sending prayers and thoughts to Cody's family and former teammates.  Cody passed away from an auto accident night before last.  I had the honor to see him play many games as a Big Blue.  He was a fine young man who represented his school with distinction having earned 1st team All-State as a senior.  He was a 2011 graduate of Richlands High School.

Here we are approaching the Christmas season and I'm sure most of you have seen or heard of the movie "Miracle on 34th Street", well my Blues, last week, starred in their own version called "Miracle on Tornado Alley". 
 
It is a new week and the Blues are leaving the confines of the "Ernie",  to travel to Ragsdale Arena for a "family showdown" and a trip for the winner to the state semis.  Since the Blues have been use to playing on turf, not sure how the soggy conditions will effect them.  Maybe Coach Mance will take them out to the practice field to simulate the conditions.
 
I cannot and will not predict a score in this one---to "close to home" to do that.  Which ever team comes out on top, I know they will have left everything on the field.

I guess as much as I like Coach Mance' coaching abilities--I'm just as proud of the kudos he always gives to the other team.  He graciously complimented the G-Men own their outstanding play.

I feel the players are ready for this--they have been tested more this year with injuries, playing different positions because of those injuries. 
 
Also, last week was Coach Mance's 150th win in 17 seasons as the Blues coach--he and his staff know what is required, how to keep the boys settled.  I don't think there is any coaching staff  around,  any better in making half time adjustments then the Richlands coaches!!
