first off, i'm glad it's football season once again.i been hearing chatter about wythe having qb issues, they lost a few to grad to..r.r. is havin the same trouble..one bright spot for them is there back..he seems to be a good strong runner,not fast but quick.marion is still a question mark..seems they are keeping things under lock and key..no info on anything other than coach wright is back as an asst.chilhowie lost alot to grad.but you never know with them.northwood seems to really have a troubled program.i watched bad lang and panther players get ejected last yr for late hits and whatnot.ph,what can ya say..2 time superbowl coach and still they have trouble..but they seemed to look ok in the 7 on 7..we shall see..holston,well this looks like a chance for the lil school in d-town to rise up and make a run for state..only losing a handfull of players,this team and town are fired up..but as the 96-97 rebels found out,injuries can really hurt you come play-off time.now we turn to abingdon..biggest school with the biggest ego problem..put it simply..they think they are always num 1...always ranked high..always this,always that.fact is they never do anything..abingdon use to be a pretty good program.but as the yrs pass so has work ethic and the desire to show respect..these kids just assume they are gonna win..that's what mommy and daddy told them..WRONG..but if they would play as a team and forget about what should happen they would give richlands a good game.the qb seems to be a decent player..we will see if they can suck it up..oh yeah..watch out for va high..ex gretna coach should bring a diff kind of team to this area..they might be fun to watch.last but not least the poor ole battle boys..who knows who the coach will be this yr..who knows anything about them??hope they have a good year..they are due 1.

i'm thinking giles will be back stronger than ever..single wing football returns.

abingdon can't finish ballgames..until they hit somebody and play alil smash mouth ..i just can't see them doing alot..by the way..coach wright is back at ass. coach for marion..maybe not a great year but better than last yr...

boy,it sure seems like fall the past few weeks..70's during the day and 50's at night..i'm so ready for friday night football and good food..abingdon has sum great hotdogs..graham also has great food..marion cooks burgers on the grill..what more can you look forward to on a fall night..great football,family,friends,and plenty of good food..i'm ready..PLAY BALL

2001 g-men were great..yeah,i know a few teams that were very good in the ninties..p.h of glade springs had sum great teams but injuries got them..they went 10-0 but injuries killed them in the playoffs..i think that was 95-97 they had good teams 2yrs in a row.

i think the preacher is drinking his own kool-aid..still think holston could beat a few swd teams this past season.but,that was last yr..09 will be holston's yr to see if they can do what most still think they can't.football should be fun again in d-town..just gotta win one game at a time..by the way,matlock is the head coach so is it wrong he listens to an exprienced coach such as webb?i think not.

well,dunno about battle but ph hasn't always been bad..shoot back in 95-97 they were great..if not for injuries they might have played for state.but you gotta have a coach the players really like and a crazy bunch of fans..look at richlands,clintwood,..just to name a few..these ppl eat sleep breathe football..giles is another program that has a new coach but some how wound up in the playoffs..gotta get going before you go..holston is just now learning how to win after yrs of being one of the worst teams around.

once again..another abingdon thread..you think holston has alot of threads..plus they don't deserve it?they won their first region c div 1 championship ever..went to the state semis first time ever..wait was abingdon still talking?ppl from abingdon can't handle the fact they got the bird.i bet you got the best bball team and the best dance team around!!!!!

can't believe they don't kick and won...clintwood should have killed them from what i heard on the radio..to many turnovers and mistakes..i was kinda wondering when they fumbled 3 times against holston if it was a problem..plus they were playin with emotion cause one of there players got killed last yr and franklin seemed to get better breaks than clintwood..see ya next yr if holston and clintwood square off again..

umm,who has been bashing every school known to man?just a hint..it starts with an A....good god..they can't handle being bad..i think next yr holston will win the hogo and might be right back in the hunt for region and maybe state..just don't look to far ahead cause that's when you find yourself on the couch in nov.i'd like to say i had a great time this yr..had fun everywhere except in 2 places..guess which 2?

hogo teams are getting better to.i hate to say this but gw had one of the best pass offenses i saw all year.swd was down but still think taz was pretty good..but brookville was just very good..hard to see pulaski get beat to..thought they were gonna be state champs.

our offense just hasn't been up to par the last few games..our d has really kept us in the game..but i'm glad the refs called the game pretty good..why can't we get these refs all season?i really think we can be very good next yr..it's crazy how many ppl have supported the kids on both sides..glad football fever is returning to swva..we might see the greenwave again?
