Yeah same here......pulling for the Bulldogs here. Seems like the new running back has lit a spark. Hopefully it will lead to a fire in the belly of the Dogs!

If they lose again do they go to 3rdI don't reward losing like you guys do, I seen where people said they were as good as 2006 and 2010 last time I checked those 2 teams one didn't lose till the state championship and the other didn't, so if this teams is that good and your going to put them on a pedestal they should be punished for losing the 2ND game of the season I don't care who they play

By watching the green and white game last night, the first thing I noticed that was missing was the speed! It's not there like last year! Brewster will be the fastest player on the team once he is out there! To me last night, and I know this was the first time that they have went full pads, but # 10 Mason Mullins, stood out the most! He's not as big as his cousin that played down at Richlands but the kid will be a solid athlete! #1 on the team, not for sure what his name is due to him just moving here this past week, but he's just a freshman can't wait to see what he can bring to the table!  It may be a long season for the Dawgs, but if the boys get a early win it just may set them off and on their way!

I believe it's all in the QBs hands and how he performs, I've read how people don't think the qbs spot is a big loss, I for one believe it's your biggest loss from last season, River was a huge leader on the field the office went though him, he was that mental toughness you referring to, so I hope he's mentally tough and ready for what everyone believing is a special season to come

Not sure but I know for sure Vaught was at Tazewell my jr year. I graduated in '92. And for the record, regardless of his downside, he was the best hs coach I've been around as far as having a feel for a game. Anybody that has been around him will tell you the same. Football genius in my book.

May not sound like much to some folks,....but as a die hard Graham fan, this is great news.  G-Men pride making a come back.....

In my opinion, don't worry about what the high school is running.  Find what works best for your kids and start simple.  I coached that age group for years and it seemed like I ran something different every year.  Let the kids ability to listen, learn and absorb knowledge dictate what you run and how much you run.   Some years I introduced so much that I had trouble keeping everything straight, but, the kids knew it.  Other years it was a simple 2-3 formations and 6-7 plays.  You have to find ways to make it fun, it has to be about extracting effort from the kids and not winning.  However, it is always good to remind them that you don't practice 3-4 days a week to get your lunch handed to you.  Kids need to learn to equate winning with hard work.  Once they figure that out, it gets north pretty quick.  Like Vols said, it should be about fundamentals and effort.  However, when you develop good strong relationships with your kids, they have fun and learn to love football....some of 'em do remember youth league titles.

95% of the time its not the kids its the parents behind them.

Tazewell needs more participation from kids period. No kids are interested anymore. Nobody cares if the kids stay home or try out for a sport. ..even parents. Wish tazewell the best but unless the participation picks up from the kids AND the coaches nothing will change.
