You figure you play on average 25 games a year... 22 regular season, district play in or tournament, then regional.... 4 years on Varsity 25 game average a year.... 10 points a game gets you 1,000. Is Peck staying at Hurley post Coopers and Waynick? or opting out with 2 years left on his deal?

Fred used to Coach the Varsity girls.... Politics of Richlands kept him from getting the job as varsity head coach that's the talk up Walmart.... Jody's a good Coach, he played for Rick Goodman at Iager back in the day They shopped the Job around on the down low, tried to get some really good BDD Coaches..... but didn't sweeten the pot enough to get them to sign the deal.

Grundy @ Honaker For years Grundy has terrorized the BDD. However, this is the G’s inaugural season in the BDD and Grundy has always had an open spot in the trophy case for their imaginary BDD trophy,(Beside their beloved SWD trophies) this year they might just bring the real one home. Hubbard’s Tigers made a trip to Exit 7 last week and forgot they had a football game to play. Apparently they were declawed at the Pet Smart beside Target during their bath and shampooing. Honaker’s ONE TRICK PONY will not be able to keep up with the new bullies of the BDD. LLL – Honaker "Forget that Food City, Forget that Magic Mart... TV played them in a scrimmage at the Jamboree @ the Valley first scrimmage of season it was Rye Cove 7 TV 0.... They have 16 seniors and some huge lineman... pretty decent backs and qb.....

Here's my question..... Get a little vs. going on this fantasy basketball haha... Say you can put your best two teams in school history to play for the berth to play the rest of the districts best.... gotta be from the mid 90's (except for Cooper's 80's squad) on cause I think all that 70's Whitewood dropping 130 in the crackerjack box is a different era no 3 point etc..... shorts with belts haha etc.... The past two years Hurley team whichever one you want say this year they should be better year older, off season, deeper bench with Gibson and Berg-lowe, vs Mark Cooper's Hurley team that made it to the Region with Cooper and Bill Christian etc..... who wins that game? I also want to see the 2001 State Champion Council Cobras Nuckles averaging 30 points 15 boards 5 blacks a game, Ryan Rasnake, Ben Jackson, Jeremy Ratliff, Cass Harman against the 1996 Council Cobra's 4 1000 point scorers on one squad Mike Ratliff, Neil Rasnake, Chris Tiller (not boobie, oopie) Preston Breeding, Adrian Rasnake...... also Bearded Rick Goodman against Goatee Rick goodman.... Throw in Robby Colley's Jr or Sr year when they got Dustin from Clintwood Jordan Compton, Greg Conway vs Kory Bostic and Blake Owens and some of those teams.... TV's Goodman, Vandyke, Baldwin, Shortridge (Logan) Alex Vandyke, Harmon vs. Simpson, Horne, Smith, Shortridge (Lucas) Beefy, RIP Garden and the Wood Grundy doesn't get a say b/c it's Wrestling season and we're talking BDD not Southwest...... back in the olden days.... you had to either win regular season championship to get the automatic bid, or win the tournament or finish runner up to the regular season championship.... used to matter and be some great games.... What year was it that Hurley finished like 3rd or 4th in the District and made a run in the tournament I think even made it to state or something...? Hard to compare different era's that's what makes sports great. That'd be some great basketball....

I read in the Bristol today Richlands is only ranked 10 in AA. They just recently cracked the top 10 as well.

Hurley deserves a cupcake after making the worst road trip in the Region D. Hurley to Thomas Walker.....

I seent in the Bristol paper today, Honaker got a vote to be in the Single A top 10 in the state of VA..........

I hear St. Paul's passing attack is pretty good.....

The Honaker Jets.... reminds me of the real Jets... Hubbard is a pretty solid Rex Ryan look alike and has alot of the same actions.... Honaker is a good team no doubt about that. They are having a great run of athletes right now, 8th grade all the way through, baseball, basketball and football. If Richlands wanted to, they could beat Honaker so bad that EMATS would repo the field turf man. Playing Richlands will help Honaker in the playoffs. Lets be honest there's a difference in improved, and playing well and being in Richlands league. They be in the Midget League with Richlands, but not in their " league ". Adams ran a buck sweep about 70 on Honakers starters last week, and Adams is a great player for TV, but if he's ripping off a 70 what's Johnson going to do? No disrespect to anyone, but we're going to be seeing alot of this matchup soon, my $ is that Richlands and Tazewell drop to single A in 2 years (after this year, and next years cycle of football contracts) could be in the BDD.... My only concern is Eastside lost 17-14 to Honaker, but Haysi beat the breaks off of Eastside. That Haysi Honaker game is looking real good later with District Champ implications. I also want to see the Hurley Haysi game this year too b/c Hurley gave Colley a little taste of his own medicine last year scoring one late on them..

Castlewood beat them 42-14..... at what point do you consider a blow out to be taking place? That was in Birchleaf too down at Sandlick

Compton and Rowe owned Haysi..... Tip my hat to Grundy after they beat Hurley I thought Hurley would've beaten them. Grundy's D over Haysi's O. O'Quinn in my opinion can cover Stanley pretty well. I'll take Grundy and the points at home but I wouldn't have thought that Haysi would have beaten Eastside, after Eastside gave Honaker the business down to the wire field goal as time expired for the W 17-14 Tiggers Compton over Colley OH and John Lark over Tiger Dave any day of the week and you can get back to me on that one......

Out of all the coaches in the BDD I ain't quitting Tester. Man is huge he's built like a brick crap house..... I don't know what happened but I know that Tester helped Clayb and then to miss and quit on him is dirty....

I always wondered how it rain and soaked Honaker's field when it was never cloudy when we played there on Friday..... maybe it was the nice Honaker fire department that always showed their support on Thursday haha

I heard Honaker was going to forefit the game tonight, because they got their state rings in for baseball and made Fall baseball practice attendance go through the roof........

Sorry to repost but I hate to state the obvious but most of Richlands great athletes and players don't come up through the Richlands feeder systems.... Johnson's etc.....
