He will play against Abingdon. Farris was out there catching passes tonight on the sidelines and even went through warmups with his helmet on. But from all we are hearing, he's still a few weeks away. I look for him to come back and play the first half against Grundy and then have him fresh for the playoffs.

Bluefield is the clear favorite, they have speed and size everywhere. If I had to bet the House, I'd take Bluefield and run. But I'm not betting the house, SO I'm hoping we show up and give the Beavers a good game. Win or Lose playing against this kind of speed should help Richlands down the road. Go Blues!

Very tough start to the season and I know you guys aren't use to it but it's time to regroup and get things going in the right directions from here on out...Very tough schedule to start the season but I have confidence Mance and crew will get things straighted out and you guys will have another succesful season and we'll see you guys making noise in the playoffs.
 
Just sit back and take a deep breath Blues fans....the season is far far from over guys....Giles has started 0-2 many years then came back with a run in the playoffs so it can be done...and your coaching staff knows what they have to do....won way too many games up there over the years to fold tent now

I agree we have a young team and it showed in the second half. I personally chalk that loss up to coaching. Mance played Beamer ball he played to lose.

Union had way smarter coaches than us tonight. Terrible coaching lost the game. Coaching starting to slip in Richlands!

It's not a Giles-Richlands love fest you idiot it's called respect for each's program. Plus I am proud to say I am a friend of the Richlands head coach...you know the guy that beat you not once this year but TWICE....VHS fans just give it a rest geez....maybe one year you will be lucky enough to play some December football...until then lace up those sneakers it's basketball season for VHS

I hope it stays at Sandlick because the Tigers have earned that rite,  but if it is decided to move the game,  I would love to see it at either Honaker or Richlands just so i have a easy drive!  But I do think the Haysi community should host the game since that's the way it is suppose to be. 
But it wouldn't surprise me to see the VHSL screw a SWVA team !

Bearcat fans please just shut up...my god Richlands beat you twice END OF STORY....you wouldn't have beaten Giles Friday night or even made it close so get over it and get ready for basketball season....PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE JUST SHUT UP....I am sick and tired of listening to you complain...Richlands was nothing but class to our team and fanbase after the game and before the game as well....you guys sound like a bunch of crybabies crying cause mommy did't give you your daily cookie...geez

BTW we played our best game of the year Friday night IMO....I know that dont make u feel better but had to throw that in there. There will be a day when the shoe is on the other foot and we have that long ride home from Richlands....and I for one will be there to congradulate Mance and all the players just like Greg and many many Blues fans did to our fans,coaches and players friday night

High boys are really butt hurt, aren't you?  You got beat...twice...by Richlands, and it's killing you that you had the second game won and your coach made a boneheaded move.  Get over it, and get over yourselves.  If RHS fans want to take exception to a Va. High poster who claims his twice-defeated team could have given Giles a better game, we have the right to give an opinion as well.  Get off your high horse Bearcat Bobby.  It's a message board.  At some point we all have to eat crow, and you're not excluded.  You got beat.  Live with it.  I am. 

Couldn't have said it better myself tjhokies !  Nothing to be mad about,  in fact,  I couldn't be more proud of the Blues players and coaches for the year they had !
 
Also wanted to say congrats to Devon johnson ( formal Blues player )  for getting a game ball yesterday at the Marshall win over ECU.  Devon had 4 tackels on special teams and scored 3 td's.
One on a 52 yard reception and 2 on runs !

My advice to Va.High is next time you think you have the BIG GUY beat, make sure and remember to PLAY ALL 48 MINUTES. Virginia High didn't play Giles because you left Richlands for the 2nd time this year with a loss....
