I lIke how everyone likes to pick on Hurley's scheduling. Pick one team on Hurley's schedule that has a smaller enrollment than Hurley . Its not easy to get teams to come to Hurley. Nobody said anything when these  teams were beating us . We go 10-0 and here comes the talk.  Actually I would say the schedule did hurt Hurley in the playoffs because Hurley's players never played past the 2nd quarter. Hurley is the second smallest school in the state. They are actually playing up with anybody they play.  Castlewood, Eastside, twin Springs, Holston, Shelby Valley all dropped Hurley for the upcoming cycle.  All of these teams Hurley has beat easily the last few years with the exception of 2A Shelby Valley.  I dont think you can pick on a teams schedule when every team they played was a larger school.  I actually think last years Hurley team was better than this years team and they finished 9-3 and lost to Galax  28-14 in a tight ballgame. Galax went on to win the state.  Hurley is playing the teams they suppose to. Did there schedule hurt them this year? Probably. No one metioned there schedule last year when they gave Galax all they could handle. The kids in Hurleys program went 10-0 because they put in the work . Not because of scheduling. Every team on the 2016 schedule was a larger school if you want to check the enrollment numbers.

When you bray like a donkey for months on end about something; are then proven wrong in a manner that everyone saw coming; and then refuse to acknowledge it; you tend to lose much of the goodwill you ever had, if you had any at all.

Facts of the matter is, Richlands beat the GMen twice.

Please tell me that you 2 aren';t so stupid that you couldn't get the sarcasm in that statement that was intended for Master Blaster and his enormous amount of GW vs Whoever threads. That's so sad that I have to explain that one to you, really sad.

At least we played this week, Cletus. Didn't see you around these parts much after Parry McCluer spanked those "azzes", as you so eloquently put it.

My class and wordsmithing cannot compare to you, O Wise One of Hurley. But hey, at least I don't hide for a week like a yellow-bellied coward when my team bites the dust. Easier to do when you don't build your team up to be God's gift to football.

UVAObserver, I don't know where you got your information from, but Hurley had Shelby Valley down 50 to 8 starting the 4th qt and Shelby Valleys starters scored 4 Td's against a bunch of 9th graders.

I think what most outsider's and many Hurley fans don't realize is this season's schedule was put in place almost 3 years ago. It's not exactly like Hurley predicted a team that would perform like they have. Will it hurt Hurley in the playoff's? yes, most definitely. My point is, respectable Hurley fans have argued the dominance they have performed with, while most have claimed their weak schedule. Like I said, Hurley has 180 students and it's not like they were a powerhouse 3 years ago. So why would any 2a schools within reasonable distance even wanted to schedule Hurley? Outside of the BDD, the closest schools that would be a step up in competition (In VA only) would be Lebanon(2a), Ridgeview(2a), Richlands(2a), Tazewell(2a). Off of my head the closest 1A school in better competition is Burton or even Patrick Henry, but its not like anyone predicted Henrys Success either. Which I agree 100% Hurley should play them over TS, Holston,Phelps,Montcalm anyday. But the fact of the equation is, Hurley is Geologically challenged for VA 1A competition. Now seep into Ky you have east ridge(2a ky, dropped us) Tug Valley(1A dropped us) and then you have Riverview(2a), Mingo Central(2a). On a normal talent level its neither beneficial to the 2a schools or Hurley to compete. If Hurley had a reputation of continuing competiveness then maybe some of thise 2A schools would agree to the game, but when rider points are the issue they do not want to play a 1A school that averages 4-6 wins a season.

So, someone calls Graham manure and it's a sin? Yet Hurley has 180 kids in the school (which is the seconds smallest football school in VA the last I heard) Lead VA in all classifications in scoring, while averaging nearly 500 yards a game and you cannot help yourself to keep from talking crap about them? You must either be a crooked lawyer or a terrible one because you bend everything to suite yourself when someone states their opinion. Just chill dude, you're really an A$$ and cannot back the majority of what comes out of your mouth on paper. The majority of Hurley's D TDS have came into the second half and you pick 2 games? Graham played 4, yes 4 single A schools. only beating FC by 21 and Galax by 14? Oh wait you say, they're GOOD 1A schools? I thought 2A is so much more superior in talent (a statement you've made before- I paraphrase there) oh wait? I am from Hurley, I shouldn't know what Paraphrase even is. It's time for YOU to shut up snowflake :)
 
The last time I called you out a few years ago I remember telling you Tech will beat UVA by 3TD's you said it would NEVER happen and yet Tech steamrolled 38-0. My point, You do not know everything about football, you cannont predict the future. Just support the local teams man unless they're playing Graham. Just because a couple Hurley ppl gets under your skin I advise you not to group all of Hurley together. I take it personally, I respect every team and show respect to every team even the ones who have fans that ERRKKK the crap out of me.

Thing about the extra points is if you kick 100% and you make 50% of your 2 point conversions you score the same amount of points, I would guess Hurley is making at least 75% of their 2 point try's.

EH31, a few people did get out of hand on that thread that got deleted, I have no idea who they are. Hurley fans know it will be tough to go all the way, we do have a team that could do it, but with George Wythe, Galax, Riverheads and a few more it will be a tough road for them. Best of luck to all Southwest VA teams, maybe we can bring some Trophys our way.

The only way to beat Richlands is to limit JOHN LUKE time on the field, UNION did that the whole game but then got away from the fullhouse backfield,3 yards and a cloud of astro-turf. GRAHAM tried to outscore him and if they cant do it the FALCONS WILL NOT EITHER.I AM SORRY BUT NO-ONE WILL BEAT RICHLANDS this side of the playoffs.barring a injury to JLA.WHOMEVER WINS THE WEST WINS STATE, AND ANY OF THE TOP 5 CAN DO THAT.
