They have at last checked around 300 more kids than anyone else except abingdon and they are not close to any of the other school except for you all. Just do not think they should be in a district where the numbers are around the 700 to 400 range you all included. Guess some people are fine with that me not to much. That would be like you all being in the same district as fort chis and northwood gorge wyth. Bland bath bet you would love that just about as much as carrol does now. Since it is a AA district, enrollment discrepancies are not unusual. 2 SWD schools have played up for years and are dropping in August. Carroll and Abingdon are legit AA schools as is Richlands. bballer 10 Report Share Posted February 18, 2011 The entire piedmont district could say the same about Bassett who has 1208 students while Martinsville, Patrick & Tunstall all have under 800. Cave Spring could complain that they are the only school in River Ridge with under 1100 students while Cave only has 851. My point is every district has disparities. The only thing that would fix it would be complete realignment based entirely on numbers and I don't think any school would vote on it due to logistics. But, I think this post started with you whinning about losing to Carroll in basketball because we are a bigger school. With 2-3 of your basketball players being transfers, I don't think you can make the "bigger school" argument because you are drawing athletes from the entire county of Tazewell plus from WV.
