Ryan4VT 4,557 Author Report Share Posted August 12, 2015 I assume Haysi and Clintwood arent being counted because they no longer exist? I have absolutely no idea. But I'd assume that's the case, since the Twitter handle I get these from has referenced Ridgeview a few times in conference and district predictions. GC_Quincy 582 Report Share Posted August 12, 2015 I can't believe we were at #3. We had some great years, but we also had some pretty lean ones. Great City
sixcat 2,942 Report Share Posted August 12, 2015 The 276 totals are inaccurate across the board. It was probably compiled by someone in NOVA with no clue where 276 is even located. Galax has 95 wins over that span. Grayson County has 87 including an 0-10 season. Ryan4VT, GMan and Chappy

redtiger 1,742 Report Share Posted August 12, 2015 I had 81 for Haysi and I couldnt remember the records for 5 years, they werent really successful years but none were worse than 5 wins. Clintwood would probably be #1 on that list., they have had a great run
sixcat 2,942 Report Share Posted August 12, 2015 Haysi http://www.vhsl-reference.com/mastergames_byyear_byteam.cfm?ID=10417&GY=2011 Clintwood http://www.vhsl-reference.com/mastergames_byyear_byteam.cfm?ID=10330&GY=2011 redtiger
redtiger 1,742 Report Share Posted August 12, 2015 So 125 for Haysi and 123 for Clintwood. Obviously Haysi had the weaker schedule but winning is winning. Good enough to tie for 4th and 6th
sixcat 2,942 Report Share Posted August 13, 2015 Impressive totals redtiger. I have gotten those tweets from @VHSLReference for a couple of years now. They are fairly inaccurate most of the time when talking about 276 and 540 actually. They have one tweet making the rounds discussing state titles by area code. More than half of the area codes in VIrginia were established after 1995. 703 = 1947 804 = 1973 540 = 1995 757 = 1996 571 = 2000 434 = 2001 276 = 2001 Covington won the state title in 1986 as part of the 703 area code. Does that count toward 540? Clintwood won state championships in 1974, 1975 and 1978 as a part of the 703 area code. Does that now count toward 276? The whole concept is misleading when factoring in titles by area code. GMan, redtiger, cityofRaven and 3 others
