That's the most embarrassing loss I've seen Bluefield have in football. Zero excuse not to score one point on Oak Hill.

By the end of the 3rd quarter it looked like Bluefield was just ready to go home. Field conditions didn’t help them as they like to run to the outside. They had to try and play power football which worked into Oak Hills favor cause they had some big old boys up front that Bluefield just couldn’t move.

Maybe Giles figured 3 and out every drive isn't necessary a recipe for success? 20 points in 2 games since Ratcliff went out probably doesn't cut the mustard?

Build for the future....isn't gonna learn watching....and same outcome with the seniors in there....but the stats are better lol

so your idea is to NOT put your best players on the field. Interesting. My guess is a lot of unemployed coaches already tried that formula.

So are you suggesting they just fold? There's still opportunity to improve our playoff position. One could logically argue that the backfield Giles deployed against Tazewell could have very well led to a win against Galax. Typically, better offensive stats leads to more points the last I checked.....

That's one view. The other view is, a whole lot of Hall of Famers were smart enough to get their young guys on the field early on in obvious big wins or big losses and it helped in 2 years. Hyperbole Fallacy= "just fold " At zero moments in this forum did I read the words, we should "just fold." Common sense says, it doesn't matter what our playoff position is, we are 1 and done, maybe with a great game, we somehow win 1 then done. Get your young guys in early and get experience is the common sense approach in my opinion.

not saying don't give the young guys a shot. if they've got obvious superior talent, great. In this case, the sophomore TB, started a couple games, but no real great results. So this week, they start a senior a TB, that hadn't practiced at TB all year, with better results. And to beat that, it was a short week thursday game, so he maybe had 2 days practice to face maybe the 2nd best competition we've faced all year. So, to the guy, (not you), that's been saying this team has no senior leadership, I think he should pay a little respect to a senior that did step up and show some leadership. but instead he just wants to poo-poo on the effort. Can't have that both ways my friends.

You keep referring "holding on to the ball"  but when did one fumble by a player became such a major issue? No fumble is good but the blatant over exaggerating looks silly.

Think the names was Estes or something but what year is he? He did well and also Wilcoxin I believe it was. Are those both JV guys for Giles?

Heck, he wouldn't know. Doesn't even go to many games just runs his mouth on the Internet. Estes is super fast and is a senior, Wilcoxon is a sophomore and will probably be Giles starting TB next year. Estes should be utilized more now if they keep the backfield alignment the same as the previous WB moved to TB and Estes plays wingback also. Or according to some, we should just stick a bunch of under classman in there to gain experience which would eliminate Estes as well. There's 2 seniors in Giles backfield that are currently being recruited by several colleges but we should apparently bench them for the future of the program....🤦

Parsell at TB, Saunders at FB, Estes at WB, and Baylor at BB. That’s how we have to finish the season. The few games that Wilcoxson started at TB you could see that he’s just not ready yet. We wouldn’t have beat Grayson but definitely would’ve beaten Galax with the backfield that I mentioned above. I understand getting some experience since he is the future but it’s not fair to the seniors that have more experience in that position at the varsity level. That experience showed against Tazewell. It’s been a tough a season for our Spartans and this team was capable of accomplishing much more. We just need to finish out strong, hopefully win 1 of our last 2 games, secure the 7th seed, and meet up with Narz in the first round. To hell with going back to Grayson lol

He's making it up if he's referring to any colleges larger than D3. There are no kids on our team playing at a D1 FBS/FCS, or Div2 schools. Parcell can play D3/NAIAish.

I can only answer for what I know to be factually accurate however Parsell has had visits/invites to both Thiel College in Pennsylvania and at Concord with an upcoming visit scheduled next weekend at Bridgewater. Saunders also had a visit to Concord a couple of weeks ago.

Nosey much? Rumor has it that Concord offered all you can eat pepperoni rolls freshman year and Bridgewater was leaning towards a six pack of Busch light and a jar of pickled eggs. Haven't heard what the Pennsylvania school is willing to come off of yet. Gonna start a bidding war it seems!
