starcityfootballfan 517 Report Share Posted October 26, 2016 A resurgent Fort Chiswell (6-2, 3-0) team rolls into Bluefield on Friday night for this MED showdown. Both teams have wins over perennial power Galax and struggling Grayson County. The G-Men (7-1, 3-0) have the Virginia side of Bluefield back into football fever. My connections in Max Meadows say all the folks in town will be heading up to Mitchell Stadium for what they are calling "the upset of the year!" I reply by simply saying ... "speed kills!" Thoughts/predictions?
futbolking 766 Report Share Posted October 26, 2016 They sure will be "upset" on their return trip home.... if that's what they mean. Graham will win this one big. starcityfootballfan

swva_havok_fan 1,261 Report Share Posted October 26, 2016 I wish my good buddy, coach Todd Tiller, the best of luck, but sadly have to go with the G-Men in this one. starcityfootballfan and redtiger

02GW12 91 Report Share Posted October 26, 2016 Speed and talent will be the difference in this one. FC has size but lack in team speed. Graham is speed. 2A better look out the GMen are no joke.
HurricaneWarning 212 Report Share Posted October 26, 2016 I'm picking Graham but not a huge blowout like some think. GMan
Gunz9 71 Report Share Posted October 26, 2016 FC will hold the ball to the last second which will keep Graham's O off the field as much as possible. Graham still finds a way to get the job done. Graham by 20. starcityfootballfan and Gunz9
starcityfootballfan 517 Author Report Share Posted October 26, 2016 I'm picking Graham but not a huge blowout like some think. Actually, I think this game may be closer than most are expecting. Graham has more speed and talent; however, Fort Chiswell found a way to upset Galax which certainly raised some eye brows.

SWVAgridiron 1,469 Report Share Posted October 27, 2016 Fort has definitely turned things around this season but I'd say Graham by 3 tds atleast. Aren't many teams 1A, 2A, or possibly 3A that could slow down Graham starcityfootballfan, futbolking and 02GW12
SWVAgridiron 1,469 Report Share Posted October 27, 2016 And Graham has definitely turned it up a few notches since I watched them play at Giles. futbolking

futbolking 766 Report Share Posted October 28, 2016 And Graham has definitely turned it up a few notches since I watched them play at Giles. I agree. Improvement on both sides of the ball. Lineplay is better and that will be key if they make a run.

Ryan4VT 4,554 Report Share Posted October 28, 2016 Possible that Graham may jump past Richland with a win this week in the ratings. If they don't jump us this week, they will 100% jump us next week since we are open. GMan

But since Narrows and Fort have wins under their belts, plus the district play bonus, it'll be a net plus.

GMan 3,569 Report Share Posted October 28, 2016 Rating = points/games played, its really all the same but different. However, the VHSL goes by ratings...so yeh, that's the standard in spite of what Helper wants you to believe. Deleted Account
