As of the last ADM report, Central, Richlands, and Ridgeview reported higher numbers, and Lee was just above Gate City.  For the first time that I've seen, Abingdon was the only school in the area that reported numbers of 700.  Lee was holding pretty steady and had seen some increase over the past few years but really took a hit this last year or two.

Union hasn't been pushed since the Gate City game,and I don't see this game as a close one.Some are saying that they are ready to run the coach off already after 1 year at LEE, and they wonder why their program suffers every year.Lee is the largest AA school in this end of the state ,and they have some good athletes, they even hired a state champion coach from another state several years ago ,but they ran him off too.Lee should be a beast,but there not.KEEP YOUR COACH MORE THAN 3 YEARS AND MAYBE SOMETHING MIGHT HAPPEN.

He can't stand Richlands. No idea why. Richlands and Lee haven't played in over a decade and I don't think Richlands as Thomas Walker have ever played. But he hates us nonetheless. Best advice is to just ignore him and let him ramble on. Zero credibility from anything he says.

Haven't seen Goochland and only caught a little of Appo, but I honestly don't believe there's much separation between Appo, Graham, Dan River, Richlands and Union in the West. Playing at home is big so Appo is def West fav but DR showed they can play with them and Graham is legit. No one can stop Cousin while Union has a D1 prospect at TE/LB and a vicious DL.

Fingers crossed.

Gate City beating Glenvar would be the best chance for an upset.

The Defense had a good week of practice. They are more confident right now than they have been all year. I hope they can do what they did last week by creating turnovers to set up a short field for the Offense. I also think Lane will do a good job running the Offense. As far as passing goes, I think he'll do a good job in the short game & hopefully the receiving corp can make some plays with their speed. And maybe the running/short passing game might create some open looks downfield. You won't find a better group of kids or a team that plays harder than them. I've been watching JSB Football since I moved to Washington County in 2001 & this group of kids stands out the most to me. There is no quit in them. Britt has really got them playing hard for him. The next 2 or 3 years should be alot of fun. JSB Football is only gonna get better.

All I remember is that he couldn't beat Gate City no matter where he coached.

Either A: they see Richlands on top and automatically assume it's wrong. B: they don't take the time to read your method of using the numbers, since that is what actually matters. Or C: All of the above.

You're crazy lol, and no disrespect to the other schools in the area, but 13 total points separate the two in 6 meetings, three straight overtime games, three straight games ending on the last play. There is literally no better series in the state over the past 6 years. 

I understand the kids point but I blame the coaches. You've gotta motivate those kids... someway, somehow.

Explain to them that they are only guaranteed 40 games in their high school careers, don't throw away the chance for one more.
Explain that this is 1 more week of practice to get better for next season.

But I would guess the coaches don't have a great relationship w the players if they're getting beat the way they are and don't want to step on the field one more time.

Some parents need to step up and have their young men finish what they started. It's about much more than winning or losing, it's about honor

I can't imagine that much football. I loved the game but when the season was over I was ready for a break. A couple of weeks later I missed it but at the time I was done. We've gotta be careful with how far/hard we push kids.

But would you rather see that than Richlands/Union: Seven?

Shit i wish we wlouldve gotten somebody other then TW. no knock on them but kills the power points.
