I know it's just a glorified scrimmage, but damn I am ready for some G-Men football!
Safe travels to the fans of James Monroe making the drive to Bluefield.
-
I usually don't miss a home game and we have more people show up than what people say.
I will say that our fans usually don't get into the game unless it is a big one, and if the weather is bad, then yeah we don't have a crowd.
If we had the same size stadium as Tazewell or Richlands, the home side would be close to full if not completely full.
-
If Graham is ever going to have their own stadium, then seating needs to be added when the turf field is going in.
I understand that it would cost a pretty penny, but with the amount of donors Graham has, it could be done. We just had a donor contribute to the weight room for upgrades and equipment.
I also heard a rumor, someone fact check me, that another donor took care of the fee to use Mitchell this year. Graham has the money.
I love playing at Mitchell and the amount of history on that field is second to none. But there would be something sweet about driving up to GHS for a home football game.
A 4,000-5,000-seat stadium would be more than plenty. The only time it would be full is vs. Tazewell, RIchlands, Union, and playoff games. Keep the Graham/beaver game at Mitchell.
No disrespect to Tazewell or Richlands, but Graham is without a doubt the most successful football program in the county, they deserve to have a place to call home.
-
The winner of this game will have an undefeated season and state championship. The loser will only have one loss and a state championship.
Graham is always the underdog no matter how good of a team they have. Bluefield will be ready to play after losing the past two years.
If it wasn't for Bluefield's rb being injured, I would say Bluefield will take it this year. But I will be a homer and pick the G-Men to win in another very close game and beat the Beavers 3 years in a row for the first time ever.
-
Take the over in this one
-
I don’t think I have ever seen that before on any level of sports. It kind of reminded of the Florida/Georgia game years ago when the Georgia players stormed the end zone. Richlands has had the mental advantage for years and Tazewell tried to send a message. So far Richlands has the advantage
-
I am taking the Blues in this one for two reasons. One the game is at Richlands, two because Richlands has owned Tazewell for more than a decade now (sorry dawg fans).
-
The 2004 Bluefield Beavers had a great defense
-
Would like to see the beavers win this one
-
-
Happy meals all around!
These two will meet again, no doubt.

This game scares me. While we did beat Bluefield, I do think people are giving Bluefield to much credit. If you take away the trick pass plays, Graham wins that game by a lot more. In my personal opinion, the reason Bluefield relied on trick pass plays was due to the fact they could do nothing else on offense, but hey it worked for them. I am not saying Bluefield is bad, but I can easily see them losing 3-4 games this year, another one being Friday night against Princeton.
Playing at Tazewell, even when they are down, is never easy. They always seem to pack the place whenever it is against the G-Men. Graham has to play a full game of football, not just a great first half. Tazewell is going to throw some punches and they are fired up. If Graham can tweak some things on defense by defending the pass better, then I think Graham wins by 3+ td's. If they give up huge plays like they did against Bluefield, then Tazewell can keep it close. Looking forward to a great injury free game and hoping the good guys can make it 10 straight W's against the dawgs.

Congrats to the Spartans! Always have had a hell of a lot of respect for that school and program. Great Win!
-
You good sir are the Lee Corso of high school football haha
-
I’m sorry you were saying?
-
Because it’s Richlands. They think they can do whatever they want, but God forbid you blink wrong in their direction and hurt their precious little feelings. We could have put 50+ on them. If they don’t like it, stop us 🤷♂️
-
There are a few teams in this area you should never take lightly, and Union is at the top of that list. Why some of our players and fans thought this would be a cake walk is beyond me, especially when they hand us our ass every time the game is at Mitchell. Union played like they wanted it more and it showed.
Graham was also out coached. Once Union discovered they could move the ball at will with the pitch it was game over. Congrats on a huge win, this G-Man wishes the Bears nothing but success the rest of the way.
Hold your heads up G-Men! Next year has to potential to be very very special

Just posted on the Graham High School Facebook page:
"Due to COVID related quarantines, the football game between Richlands High School and Graham High School scheduled for Friday, April 2, 2021 is cancelled. The regional playoff schedule will be released at a later date."

Man just stop, you’re reaching and big time. We won the game, win with some class and act like we’ve been there before. Perfect example of why people think poorly of Graham fans
-
The happy meals are on the way 🤷♂️

They really are. I read through all the comments and there is a comment that reads “ but he did knock the hell out of the little 3 footer”. Not once was the young man called a kid or his injury made fun of. Chances are the parents didn’t even know the other kid was injured. Call me whatever, but considering the magnitude of the game and the call being dead wrong, this comment is pretty tame considering what could have been said, especially when it’s a mother justified in defending her son.
